After a harrowing experience (book 3, January’s Betrayal), Larry feels he has no choice but to resign from his position with the County Sheriff and explore new and different career opportunities. But before he can get too far, his friend, Shantel Williams, comes begging for his help. Her niece is missing and Shantel fears the worst.
Larry decides to look into the missing girl’s disappearance and finds himself drawn into an old case that haunted the area 15 years before. Hesitantly, Larry agrees to re-join the department in order to find the serial killer, who’s now committing murders again.
This is book 4 in the series and I highly recommend reading books 1 – 3 first. I’ve really enjoyed this series, it’s well written, the characters are well developed and the mysteries are intriguing.
Typically I receive books for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, however this is a verified purchase. To date, I’ve purchased all books in the series and very much look forward to the next one (reviews for books 1, 2 and 3 are posted separately).
