Dana Kafri This fiction book called Go Ask Alice by an anonymous author will take you through a roller coaster of emotions while you read the diary entries of a teen that went down the wrong path. “It is a difficult, lost vacillating time. Perhaps I have passed over the worst part. I certainly hope so, because I surely would not have the strength or fortitude to get through that number again” this quote shows how she learns from her mistakes and what makes this character want to change. This is a repeating theme throughout the book.

I like the uniqueness in this book because it’s the thoughts of a girl that didn't have the intention of telling a story. Instead just telling it like it's her “dearest friend” as she often calls her diary. The idea of this being a real girl is what intrigued me about this book and that these are real events. It really makes you hope for the girl and relate to her. I recommend this because it helps if you're going through rough times or just to learn more about how drugs affect a person. It's a great real overall even if it's sometimes contradicted to being fake.
