description

I've started thinking about some of the awesome books I've read in 2016 . . . ones that may land on my Top Five 2016 list.

Share titles of books you read in 2016 that could end up in your Top Five of the year. You know - those you couldn't put down, those that stopped your heart, those that kept you reading way into the night.

Edited 12/5/16:
Now it's time to list your Top Five (or Ten) books of 2016!

Love to see what everyone considers Top Five material. Share those books that blew you away in 2016. Doesn't matter when they were published - just that you read them this year.

There's one book that will rank very high - if not #1 - on my list for 2016. It turned out to be an epic read that defies description & refuses to be placed in a small box labeled this genre or that genre. It crosses several genres actually. None of it mattered as it just blew me away. I still haven't recovered. The book is Wolfsong by T.J. Klune

It's really hard for me to narrow down my list, but I'll list some that just blew me away. In no particular order -
My favorites of 2016 are:
Wolfsong by T.J. Klune The Kept Woman (Will Trent, #8) by Karin Slaughter The Bourbon Thief by Tiffany Reisz The Sinner (Graveyard Queen, #5) by Amanda Stevens The Confessions by Tiffany Reisz The Beast (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #14) by J.R. Ward Nine Minutes (Nine Minutes, #1) by Beth Flynn - (all 3 books in trilogy)
Also - any of the Troubleshooters books read among many, many others!
Edited to add Daisy in Chains by Sharon Bolton - just finished it and think it deserves a top spot.

Maggie | 1576 comments 5- 10, hmmmmm, here goes-

1- MACKENZIE FIRE by Elle Casey, a great blend of laugh out loud humor and romance
2- THE MISSING LINK by J.M. Sevilla
3- BECOMING NOAH BAXTER by J.M. Sevilla ( sequel to the Missing Link)
4- THE WALL OF WINNIPEG AND ME by Mariana Zapata ( this one made it my all time favorites list)
5- LOVER AT LAST by J.R. Ward- oh my!!
6- PROTECTING ALABAMA by Susan Stoker I have no idea why I liked this book so much. It has insta love, is about Navy Seals and has a hero who is always talking about how tough/ strong he is, all things I hate in a story. But I've read this book several times. I'm kinda embarrassed I like it so much.
7- THE TROUBLESHOOTERS series by Suzanne Brockmann- I'm so glad there was buddy read for this series, I never would have picked up any of the books on my own; I gave most of the books in this series 5 stars.
8- NOVEMBER 9 by Colleen Hoover
9- REAPER by A. Zavarelli
10- KANE by L.A. Casey
