Sincerely, Me discussion

I don't even know if this counts as a book talk, but I thought it'd be nice having a thread to talk about your favourite books, share recommendations or just express your thoughts on whatever you're reading.

So, what are you favourite books and is there anything you think everyone should read? ^^

Well, I kind of feel bad for posting this now cuz nobody is replying... D:

Nah. Don't feel bad. It's a great idea, actually. All of the groups I belong to, whether book or writing related, have a thread such as this.

I'll start us off:

One of my favorite books of all time is The Haunting of Hill House. Shirley Jackson is one of my top three favorite writers.

I recently also watched the film I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives In the House, and I felt like the old woman writer was based on Jackson. It was weird and unsettling.

I just haven't posted anything yet because 1) I've been really busy and 2) it is dangerous to start me taking about my fav book xD

I have a lot of favorite books such as anything from Rick Riordan, The School For Good And Evil books, The Maze Runner, Wild Born, Little Woman (such a great classic!!) and I have many others. I think that my favorite book at the moment I'd say would be Catch a Poem by the Tale: A Compilation of Poetry and Ponderance

The Haunting of Hill House seems really cool, I've never heard of this before but I might add it to my Christmas wishlist ^-^

I've been wanting to read Throne of Glass or ACOTAR for a long time now, but I'm kind of intimidated by people saying these books take weeks to read and I'm not sure if I will enjoy these. Is the language hard to understand?

Which series is better for people who don't love fantasy? D:

I do like fantasy, but I think it can be too much sometimes D:

My favorite books has to be Harry Potter, of course. Ravenclaw for liiiiife. I also really enjoyed the Kingfountain series, Merciless 1 and 2, Tracy Crosswhite series, Too Late by Colleen Hoover and among many others. lol.

... Am I the only one in this group who isn't a Ravenclaw? xD

I wanted to be a Ravenclaw when I first read Harry Potter, but I'm a Slytherin :D

I feel like I would enjoy Illuminae a lot more as a movie because I love SciFi but the format of the book was soooo confusing D:

I adored Illuminae! It would be cool to see it in movie form. I can only imagine how AIDAN would be in real life! lol.
