What I love about BookEnds is that if you can't make it to a signing, you can call in and they'll have a book signed for you and I believe you can request it to be sent to you VIA mail. I've always attended signings though, so I can't be sure.

The store was filled with so much! Just when I was wondering where a certain section was, I came across it. Joan was nice and I mentioned you while I was there. I will be sure to share my video in this group and on my Goodreads profile page.

I forgot to include a local book shop that only sells from Indie authors. The owner is really nice and I have an interview set up with her for the 3rd of December.

Left Coast Justin (leftcoastjustin) Thanks Grace,

I have relatives in Portsmouth and always enjoy visiting there, now I can add Book and Bar to my list of spots to visit.

Left Coast Justin (leftcoastjustin) Silicon Valley is actually pretty deficient in decent bookstores, but this year I did most of my Christmas shopping at:

Kepler's Books
1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, CA 94025
Phone:(650) 324-4321
Mon-Sat: 9am-10pm
Sunday: 9am - 8pm
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I'll echo Mara's recommendation of Powell's, aka Mecca for bibliophiles
--------------------------------------------------------------------

You can find some good obscure titles at Recycle Bookstore (a second-hand place) plus knowledgeable staff and a nice atmosphere at two locations:

275 E Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008
Mon - Sat 11 - 9
Sun 10 - 5

1066 The Alameda
San Jose CA 95126
(408) 286-6275
Mon - Thurs 11 - 9
Fri - Sat 11 - 7
Sun Noon - 7
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Otherwise you're largely stuck with the big chains around here.
