Monica (mismoniker) | 14 comments I read the novel version by AJ Hartley and very much enjoyed it. I'll check out this one. This Hartley also did a Hamlet, but not quite as good as the macbeth. Thank you for the recommendation and the article.

Tracey (stewartry) Oh ... I thought it was one of the worst things I've ever tried to read. It troubles me that one of the authors is trying to teach children.

James Hartley | 23 comments Hey guys - my name is James Hartley but I´m not THAT Hartley, in fact I´ve never heard of that book. It looks grim. What´s it like Tracey? I mean, why is it so bad?

I´ve got a book coming out in February called The Invisible Hand, you can see it on my page on Good Reads. It´s also about Macbeth (gulp) but it´s not a rewriting - it´s about kids at a boarding school who go back in time and get mixed up in the plot.

I´ve also written a free trailer/prelude to the book which is free on Smashwords called Heart of Winter. It´s also on Amazon. That one has references to Shakespeare but is not about any of the plays, more an introduction to one of the main characters in The Invisible Hand.

The whole series I´m writing is called Shakespeare´s Moon and my idea is that each book would be based on a play, or would have the characters getting involved in a different play.

I don´t know if you guys are teachers or authors - and if you´ve tried to teach Shakespeare, the type of things you´d find most useful.

Really, though, I just want to make it clear that I´m not THAT HARTLEY and also know why that book is so awful. I don´t think I can face reading it!The Invisible Hand: Shakespeare's Moon, ACT I

James Hartley | 23 comments Ah, Monica, just realised that you liked the book - Hamlet at least. Would you recommend it?
