Justin (justinbienvenue) | 345 comments Has anyone started watching this? I've watched the first few episodes and I'm really enjoying it. I'm not too familiar with the original though I know what it's about and all. You don't even have to be a fan of westerns to be into the show and it's fairly easy to follow. I've enjoyed it so far and look forward to seeing what happens. I'd be interested in discussing the show if anyone else watches.

C.T. Phipps It's a great series. Probably the best HBO has after Game of Thrones. I prefer the Western parts of the show even though it seems to like the science ones more. I suppose that's inevitable, though, given the West parts are simulated.

Agreed. I almost watch the western parts and realize their simulated, I still like them but still have to keep an open mind. I find Ed Harris' character to be chilling. Even though you know his agenda and what he's after he's certainly fitting of a western outlaw despite the situation.

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 345 comments So, the series IMO took a nosedive into Futureworld on steroids and got too far away from the West which made it fun to begin with.

I did however finally see the movie with Yul Brenner and I enjoyed it but found the last 20 minutes or so dragged out and lackluster. Not quite what I was expecting but I still enjoyed the film. I will likely watch it again at some point.
