Angels ϟ Demons discussion
~Masquerade Ball~

Adrian X Sonic
After Adrian had spent the past hour at his dorm fussing over his clothes, he walked inside, putting his mask on as he did. He was so excited for this, he loved parties like this, though he hoped Ivan or Jade wouldn't cause a scene.
Mio wasn't supposed to meet Volt here, but she couldn't tell Misaki nor Kenichi that he'd sorta cancelled her on the last minute. She felt she'd impose on them so she decided to avoid them by heading over to the grand staircase. Hopefully, they wouldn't catch her here. She sighed and sat down ( a little wobbly because she was so unsteady in heels) and sighed.
((Sorry, gonna jump in here, since my character's pair hasn't really posted, and yours hasn't either...))

((That's okay))
Adrian noticed Mio and smiled, she seemed lonely and his date hadn't shown up yet, so he didn't see any harm in entertaining the lady. He casually approached her and sat down beside her, his eyes moved to her, going from gold to a reddish purple with the changing angle of light, he flashed her a smile. "Good evening."

Mio looked over at him, a little shyly, catching the way his eyes changed in the light. "Good evening..." she said. It was true, she was mostly oblivious all the time, and she usually missed various things of importance, so it had escaped her noticed that perhaps Adrian had noticed her on her own and felt sorry for her. She just smiled brightly and said, "waiting for your date?"
Adrian nodded. "Indeed, I've only just arrived actually-" He muttered then sighed. "I hope I didn't make her wait." Still, he was smiling as carefree as ever. He looked to her again. "You as well then?"
"W-well, actually, my date cancelled on me, so I'm kinda on my lonesome for now," she said shrugging, "I don't mind much though, because I got to dress up and come and see everyone in their pretty dresses." Part of her did mind though. Not the part about Volt and Wrath, because he'd asked her pretty suddenly, and she'd said yes, because well, she wanted to be at the ball as a pair not a loner. But...seems like she became one anyway.
Adrian frowned. "Well that won't do." He stood up and offered a hand to her. "Then in the meantime. Shall we?"
Mio blinked, and then stuttered in surprise, "wa-wait, me?!?! B-but aren't you waiting for your date? What happens if she turns up and you're not here...?" She so badly wanted to take his hand, but it would meant enjoying the night rather than sitting here possibly getting herself into a mess as usual which would possibly lead to Kenichi and Misaki finding out that she had been ditched. And well...it would just go on and on.
Adrian smiled. "Just one song? We can go from there if she has not arrived by the end." He didn't like the idea of leaving her here, judging by her demeanor, it seemed her date cancelled at the last minute.
"O-okay, if you're okay with it, though I don't want to be a burden if your date ever does turn up..." she trailed off, it was hard to resist though. Biting her lip, she reached out and took his hand, looking up at him shyly.
Adrian pulled her up to her feet and smirked. "It is fine, I will simply tell her the truth." He slowly pulled her with him. "It is not your fault for dancing with me."
Mio didn't know what to say, but she let him pull her up. Unsteady, because though she'd practiced with her shoes, she was, well, still somewhat wobbly every so often. "I suppose, um, thank you," she said quietly, and a little dreamy.
"The Ballroom then?" Adrian asked, a small smile still playing his lips. He takes her hand and places it on his arm.
Mio blushed just a bit when he did that. While she was oblivious more often than not, she didn't miss this action. Biting her lip, she looked up at him through her mask and nodded her head.
Adrian nodded, peering at her through his mask. He lead her into the Ballroom, he felt no need to introduce himself, after all that was was the fun in masquerades. No one knows who exactly they're dancing with?
Mio looked around for her brother and found him teasing Misaki. She bit her lip and hoped they wouldn't be able to tell that the guy she was with was not Volt. "Thanks, you're a life saver," she said to Adrian.
Adrian smiled as he pulled her in the ballroom, gently grabbing her hand and setting his on her back. "Now then." Slowly, he started to moved with the music, guiding her into the crowd where they wouldn't noticed, one two three, one two three.
Mio was nervous of tripping on her own toes, she was glad he was leading. And it was good he seemed so solid. Though it felt remarkably different to her brother. "Mind, I'm not used to my shoes, so watch out. Though I can dance well..."
"It's fine if you step on me dear, I don't mind." Adrian smiled and twirled her around with him a few times.
"Of course, what's a party without a few slips, eh?" Adrian chuckled to himself, ignoring the girl who slipped out of the ballroom. She seemed to be the only one not in a dress. That was Jade, I hope she has fun with someone, or I'll feel bad we dragged her out here.
Mio nodded a bit, chuckling also, "yes, well that is very true, brings excitement," she said brightly, feeling her shoes cooperating with her feet.
Adrian smirked and twirled her. "It does." He returned his attention to Mio, he couldn't focus on Jade. All he could do was hope she'd run into someone.
Adrian smiled as he danced with the girl, it was a shame he hardly had time to meet anyone while he was here other than that mist demon, then he met the angle and Jade. Either way, he liked hanging out with them but they needed to be more social.
"Oh, a girl named Sonic." In all honesty, Adrian didn't know much about her. In fact, because none of them really ventured from their little group, none of them knew anyone. Hopefully this would help them make more friends.
"Yes." Adrian smiled, he had asked to be spontaneous. He actually would feel awkward going with Jade or Sara.
"Oh I'd love to see what she looks like then, so are you guys friends? Or was it more like you randomly picked? Or a long time crush? Or a momentary infatuation?" Mio gushed, curiously.
"It was random, I uh... wanted to be spontaneous and meet new people so I asked a girl I didn't knew." Adrian shrugged. "I think she was going anyway so whether or not she had a date didn't matter."
"Oh well, that's good for you. My date well...I think it was random on his part, after I accidently delved into his memories," said Mio, remembering that time in the diner when she'd gotten caught up in his memories of his sin demon, Wrath.
"Oh?" Adrian raised an eyebrow but twirled her none the less. "It's a shame I suppose... Hey, Do you know any angels?" Just out of curiosity, he wanted to know because well... Jade was a demon and Sara was an angel and they were best friends.
Mio bit her lip, and thought about the people she'd met, "um, a few, I think...there's several, would you like to meet some? " She asked, equally as curious as to why he wanted to know.
"No, I was just wondering." Adrian had always been curious as to how those two knew each other. "One of my friend's is an angel."
"Oh, I see, well, I know of plenty of angels, but that might be because they come to me as clients, but my closest friend is a reaper, and well, yeah..." she said trailing off a bit.
Adrian nodded and chuckled to himself. "My best friend is an annoying mist demon." He sighed but smiled. "He's a real pain sometimes, I really hope he's behaving himself."
"A mist demon ey?" She giggled, "sounds like he's a whole heap of fun. I'm a memory demon, by the way," she said.
Adrian chuckled and nodded. "I'm a shadow demon and he is, he's one of the crazy ones too." He sighed.
"Aw, sounds like fun. I'm not very crazy, but perhaps I should meet him one day, his mind sounds interesting," she said, following Adrian's leading.
((Btw, just wondering, have you voted on the polls yet?))
((Btw, just wondering, have you voted on the polls yet?))
((Yeah, I did))
"Yeah, he's nice just a little... out of it, most of the time." Adrian spoke as he lead her, it seemed that his date wasn't going to show up yet, but he couldn't say she wasn't going to show up at all.

((Awesome ^.^))
"Hehe, sounds like me...I'm always being told by Kenichi, my brother, that I shouldn't zone out as much," she said, her eyes glistening dreamily like that usually did.

Adrian grinned and spun her around with him. "Well, it's better than being watchful yet too shy to say to do anything." Poor Jade... has to live like that.
"Yeah, but Jade is really bad. She's damn near mute with how shy she is." Adrian shrugged. "But this is good, her being here, it gives her a chance to socialize."
"Is she here?" Asked Mio looking around. Then she spotted by the chocolate fountain her brother, completely drooling over a woman in red. "Oh my,...what is my brother doing?"
"Yes, she is. I think she's taking a break from the crowd." Probably locked herself in a bathroom, I'll tell ya what that girl needs. A really good pep talk. "Oh?" He followed her gaze. "Your brother?"
"Oh, well hopefully, it's not too far from a crowd, one way to beat shyness is to be in the middle of a crowd...yeah, but he's acting somewhat strangely? Well, at least he's not staring watchfully over me anymore, though it makes me wonder what happened to Misaki," said Mio thoughtfully.
Adrian nodded. "It is, though knowing her, she's probably gonna wait for someone to approach her." He sighed and shrugged. "It's good he isn't watching you so closely is it?"
