Daniel Tomas (danielctomas) | 8 comments some tags are child, wrath, riley, prophecy.

I thought they were there, and when I view it, I can see them. but maybe I'm not doing it the right way.

message 21: by Christy (new)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) I tried adding them and it didn't work for me either.

message 22: by Brett (last edited Nov 09, 2009 01:47PM) (new)

Brett Williams (mrmarriage) | 14 comments You must be logged in to add tags. Once someone has added tags, you should be able to simply check the box next to the tag that you want to select (the ones you agree with) and then you have tagged. Look at mine. The tags are already in place. If you are logged in click on the little squares next to the tag. If there are no little squares, click on add tags...this will take you to a login page.

http://www.amazon.com/You-Can-Right-M...
Does that help?

So, Login at amazon
1. Go to page of the book you want to tag.
2. Scroll down past author to "Tags Customers associate with this product"

3. Either click on add tags or click on tiny boxes next to existing tags.

Daniel Tomas (danielctomas) | 8 comments http://www.amazon.com/Child-Wrath-Pro...

don't know why it's so long of a link, but ok.

message 27: by Brett (last edited Nov 09, 2009 04:37PM) (new)

Brett Williams (mrmarriage) | 14 comments Hi Daniel, Okay, first of all , all the amazon links look long when you copy them.
Second, your tags appear to be in place and visible. I saw four tags and I clicked on the four tags that you selected. I actually suggest that you add more than four tags. I was going to add some for you, but was unfamilar with the book. Would you call it fantasy, coming of age, adventure, boy's book?
Now try tagging my book with an account that you have made a purchase with. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/tags...

Let me know if this helps.

message 28: by Jen (new)

Jen Knox This list of tags is manageable. I'm tagging all of you right now. If you have time, I'd appreciate reciprocation... Best, Jen

Jen Knox James, Sean, Dwayne, Christy, and Daniel, I tagged all available options. Brett, I couldn't tag yours, and I tried all the links... I don't know what's wrong, but if you contact Author's Central, they should fix it in a few days.

message 38: by Rowena (new)

Rowena (rowenacherry) | 35 comments I just tagged Kevin's Final Passage. (Doesn't that sound wrong of me?)

I also wrote in "GoodReads author" for him. Every time a tag is used, a Community is created, so each one of you probably have a community in your own name.

Not a lot of authors participate in the GoodReads Author community, but you could with comments and discussions about your books. It's an author community, so you cannot be accused of spamming the reader boards, but your discussions will show up on the reader boards.

Yes, Brett,
We discussed this on the other Tag My Book group run by Todd. In fact, I think you initiated the complaint there, and several of us helped you out.

Please only use this info to remove or reduce the number of tags that are insults about yourself or friends.

Log in. Go to Communities. Find the Community of Idiots.
http://www.amazon.com/tag/idiot/ref=t...

Right there left and center are books by Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin etc. See the text link, "Are these related to idiot? Vote here".

It also says "See all 98 products"

Click the vote link and you can locate your own book and vote. I couldn't find your book.

Find your book in the Products list. At the top above your cover is Agree/Disagree. There are chevrons to vote up (agree) or down (disagree).

Since you seem to have a recurring problem with an ill-wisher, look at the "idiot Contributors".

I kid you not! Amazon calls them that. (Right hand margin)

If you really want to do so, you can keep clicking and possibly identify someone who has tagged a book "idiot" with someone who has tagged your book.

Amazon is scary.

Using personal insults as tags is against Amazon's TOS, so you can complain.

Also, on your book page, there is a text link "Agree with these tags" If you click it, you will also be able to DISagree with the tags.

All the best,
Rowena Cherry

Cliff Ball (cliffball) | 5 comments My new novel,The Usurper, about what-if the Soviet Union decided to take down the United States from within through the political system, no matter what it takes or how long it takes. Involves such random conspiracies like birth certificates, who was really involved with 9/11, Waco, and Oklahoma City, and who is actually behind all the terrorism in the world. All geared towards weakening the US.

D.E. Sievers | 6 comments Okay, E.M. I just tagged your novella, but why do I get bounced to that "Real Name" page after tagging? Each time, I just clicked the back arrow and continued to tag. Hope I'm doing it right, and am still unclear if I am, and exactly WHY I'm doing it. Can someone please offer a quick explanation of tagging? Thanks!

Here are my tags. Please do both Kindle and paper versions because they don't seem to carry over.
