I started reading this book several days ago.. my goal is to finish it by Dec 20, so that leaves me about 40 pages of reading per day. It's very good because it allows me to just focus on it. I've been enjoying it so far, and I'm really curious what will happen...
Although I have a very bad feeling about little Emily :(
Did any of you start reading yet?

Well, I have started to read it! (Thanks for inviting me, Peachy. It'll be nice to have people to talk with about this.) I'm currently on chapter 17. I'm reading two chapters a day in order to finish it by the 31st.
Dickens on love at first sight:
She was more than human to me. She was a Fairy , a Sylph, I don't know what she was - anything that no one ever saw and everything that everybody ever wanted. I was swallowed up in an abyss of love in an instant. There was no pausing on the brink; no looking down, or looking back. I was gone, headlong, before I had sense to say a word to her.

Dickens is such a beautiful writer. Wordy, but beautiful. This book could have been cut down quite a bit, even though it is good.
I've just gotten to the stuff with Em'ly. Not surprised in the least.

oh yes... the whole Emily affair. i was hoping it wont happen, but Dickens uses quite a lot of forecasting
It wasn't surprising to me at all. I felt it coming. Especially with the way the characters were set up.
Ooooh yay, who's done reading David Copperfield???!
I'm so happy I was able to finish it before the end of the year, but a part of didn't want to say goodbye - I've developed such a liking to the characters.
