Has anybody tried watching the expanse. I don';t know about it after seeing some of the pictures.

Tobias Langhoff (tobiasvl) | 16 comments Yes, I have watched the entire first season. What don't you know about it? Watching some pictures isn't really representative, I suggest you watch a couple of episodes (the season really hits its stride after four episodes).

I don't think it looks very good from the stills. The thing I dislike especially is the black goo. It looks computer generated instead of organic.

Arantzazú (zzgaldos) I suggest giving it a chance. I thought they did a great job with most characters (especially Miller and Amos, it's kind of uncanny) and the pacing, tone, and feel of the books match up really well. They're also keeping to most of the books' plot pretty closely. You will notice that Avasarala, however, is immediately a character though she doesn't show up in the books until later. Small changes like that were made, but most work very well (I, for one, love Avasarala, so it's great to have her around). I think it's always harder to love a tv series if you've very recently read the book(s) it's based on, so I'd space them out if you want to really enjoy both. I did, and am looking forward to the new season. I'm hoping they do Bobbie justice.

I might book it in for after I finish watching the 100.
