I picked up the book rather than the movie. For those who wish to discuss that. . . .

I'm not done yet, but it didn't take long to figure out that this pulled itself free from the orbit of the series better than Cursed Child did.

Oh, yes, this book has pulled free. There's a connection in that Grindelwald's rampages are going on at the same time -- it opens with Wanted posters -- and Dumbledore is mentioned once, but in a logical location.

Which book? I read the textbook and it was pretty boring. Do you mean the screenplay?

The screenplay. I also found the textbook less than inspiring.

I like just bought it and on page 2!!! I've already seen it (2 days ago) and I loved it!

I've read the screenplay but not seen the movie yet. Simply because that's as close I can get to reading the book before the movie. I'd rather it have been a novel but I loved it.

Fun read, and it reads verbatim to the film. I read it after seeing the film, and it felt like I was watching it all over again, in a good way of course!

Then either they didn't improv much, or they rewrote the script to fit any improv.
