10.8. On the Coast
Three of the countries where the Ancient Wonders were located border the Mediterranean Sea. Read a book set at least 50% in one of these countries with a coastline on the Mediterranean Sea - Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Monaco, Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey. In addition, Palestine's Gaza Strip and the British Overseas Territories of Gibraltar and Akrotiri and Dhekelia have coastlines on the sea, and books set in those places may also be used.

It might. Sounds like at least some is set in Israel and Syria. May have a problem with "Called on the carpet by his superiors in New York for a story he can't verify, suspecting Adrian of betraying him, Jared begins a desperate search for the truth about Adrian's past, and her father's, and most of all about Jewish terror and the Israeli government's relationship to it."

Not clear what this would involve - if he's in NY, researching online and such, who knows? So, I guess you'll have to read it to be sure.

Yeah, that was the thing I was wondering too. Either I will read it and decide or maybe I can find something more definitive for a description.

Bec (foreverfnm) | 132 comments Hi. Is a book set ON the Mediterranean sea count? Hunters in the Sea states that the book happens during a storm in the Mediterranean and most of the action takes place on board the submarines.

In the midst of the worst storm in the history of the Mediterranean, only two men can stop him. Commander William Steadman of the attack boat USS Portland and Captain Rem Reonov of the Russian Akula class submarine Gepard hold the fate of the world in their hands, if only their superiors can recognize that they're on the same side.

Sorry, no, the book must take place in one of the countries bordering the Mediterranean.

The Tazza Farnese has been in Egypt, Turkey, and Italy. I hope it will work, but want to confirm. Thanks!

It works if at least 50% of the book is set in one of the listed countries - hard to tell from the description.

I just wanted to make sure it didn't have to be modern Israel.

Just hoping to confirm, thank you!

If the book is set in one of those countries for more than 50% of the book it would work.

Change of response - Dlmrose has previously accepted Corfu for Greece, so you can use it here.
