Aaruni | 1 comments Can someone please suggest any books which explain Neuroscience concepts with their applications in a simple and easy manner....Most of the books that explain Neuroscience basics are textbooks meant for students pursuing a degree in Neuroscience.

Thanks & Keep Reading..!!

I haven't followed this group as much and maybe someone has already mentioned this. But the very first neuroscience book I read, and compared to what I've read since, was very basic and easy to understand. It laid a groundwork for me to build upon in subsequent reading. Do you know The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science ?

It's a good one and still kept my attention the whole time.

Paul | 1 comments Thanks, Heather. I've read a fair number of books on the brain, but I've never heard of this one. Can't wait to read it.

Is both beautiful, an excellent introduction to neuroscience and quite provocative. Actually makes a good coffee table book as well. Included is a DVD of brain imaging.
