Here are your December 2016 Challenges!

RULES

** Books DO NOT all have to be mysteries. You can use any genres.

** A book can only be used once for this challenge, but can be used for other challenges (Seasonal, World Trip, Ultimate, etc.).

** You DO NOT have to choose books in advance, and can change your mind at any time if you do.

** Do as many as you are able and have fun!

1. December 3 is National Roof over Your Head Day — Read a book with some kind of house on it (yes, lighthouses and gingerbread count!).

2. December 4 is Wear Brown Shoes Day and the 6th is Put on your own Shoes Day (which I hope you do every day) — Read a book with footwear on the cover (boots, slippers, shoes, etc).

3. December 12 is Poinsettia Day — Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the days are short and dreary. Let’s bring some flowers into our lives to liven things up — find a book about flowers or with flowers on the cover!

4. December 19 is Look for an Evergreen Day — Read a book with a tree on the cover (does not have to be a Christmas tree!).

5. December 27 is Make Cut-Out Snowflakes Day — Find a book with snow on the cover or in the title.

Yes it is. Funny how things stick in the brain. I have had that book since the 1960s.

Believe me, I completely understand. I still have all the Nancy Drew classic yellow hardbacks, and tons of books from the other series. I do read a Nancy Drew every now and then when I can fit it in. Hmm, I feel an itch coming on to read some Nancy Drew. LOL

Books for these challenges do not necessarily have to be mysteries so non-cozies are fine.

I have this book on my Audible wish list. How did you like it, Barbara?

message 34: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Schultz | 6 comments Thanks for asking Julesy....I liked it! I gave it 4 stars and I am stingy with stars! Alternates between present day and 1952. At first, I was just interested in the 1952 chapters and was trying to hurry the present day chapters. Story got to the point I liked both. I love mysteries and this had enough twists and turns to keep me happy.

Becky | 288 comments 1.
