I am reading 'The Hanmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood and finding it extremely hard going. I hope perseverance pays off.

Geoffrey Guo | 2 comments To kill a mockingbird - I have only just started reading the book but based on the first few pages, it seems to have a plot that is based on a real life scenario that occurs in America. The plot seems to be more complicated than other books which is challenging.

It is a good book with a complex storyline which makes it interesting to read

Angus Russo | 1 comments Hunter S. Thompson's 'Hell's Angels: The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw motorcycle gang' is a gonzo-journalistic piece written by Thompson as a piece on the characters and activities of the Hell's Angel MC. It is very well written and very entertaining.

Conor Jordan | 3 comments Nineteen Eighty-Four is a really good book as it explores a dystopian England, named 'Airstrip 1' throughout the novel. It follows the story of Winston Smith who challenges the Socialist party's ideologies and social standards. He fails to conform to society and instead tries to discover a world outside the boundaries of his own, leading to his demise.

V for Vendetta is a gripping book about a masked man by the name of V. For me this book has an interesting plot and keeps me entertained throughout the novel. The hidden identity of V leaves me, the reader, on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book.

The book is interesting as it is a graphic novel and allows the reader to physically see the scenes. The plot is occasionally difficult to follow, but generally understandable, and it focuses on the idea of personal accountability and freedom. Overall, it is a engaging story and a good read.

Good stuff

Jack Hall | 3 comments The book I am reading currently is the Feynman lectures on physics. I would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys sciences or even just a new way of looking at the world. It is the most incredible set of explanations of the basic principles of physics by the most infectiously charming and lucid teacher of it. It has a great conversational tone and is thereby quite readable.

An excellent read which touches on segregation in rural town in the Deep South. It looks upon the virtues of prejudice, violence and hypocrisy of society while telling the story of a lawyer's struggle for justice.
