The River
Elisa smiled, running into the river. She had ditched her dark clothes for a tank top and jeans. Her blonde hair was loose over her shoulders. She walked over to a rock and sat on it, bored.
Elisa yelled, then smiled when she saw it was him. She pushed his off the rock. "That's what you get!"
That took her a little by surprise. She glared at him and then shook her head, pushing him a little.
Jade finally stopped running, she knew people coming here was rare and this is where she went to be alone most times. Other than her dorm of course. She looked back to make sure Runni was there.
"I-am-really-un-fit." Runni panted as he struggled to follow, they had run here from the ball after all and this was his first time here so he had slipped frequently.
Jade nodded as she painted, trying to regain her breathing. "I only-travel-fast by-electric-wires." She knew she would have to run at some point tonight err... today, so she had worn her new combat boots instead of heels.
Jade smiled. "Cool, if there were wires everywhere, I'd use them to get around." Honestly, she found the idea of shifting everywhere very cool.
"well, to use reaper shifting you need a shadow." Runni admitted, one of his few friends found a loop-hole with that system.
Jade nodded. "Other electric demons can follow me thorough wires, but as far as I know, I'm the only electric demon in the school." There was probably more but she hadn't met them.
"i have a friend that would like to experiment with that ability, I struggle to keep them away at times." Runni informed her, why was this so easy?
"Oh?" Jade shrugged. "It isn't impossible for others to do it, but it's harder to do." I'm not having any trouble with him... this hasn't happened before.
"ya, she basically makes a habit of trying to mimic everyone for study on ability's." Runni told Jade. this is.....an interesting experience.
"Well I wouldn't be a good subject." Jade pointed out, she hadn't gone through that ceremony yet so she couldn't generate her own electricity like the others of her kind.
"why not? she has been suck in this school for a while and you would be the first electricity demon she could meet." Runni told her.
"Because I haven't... well." Jade honestly found it embarrassing to say. "I haven't had my coming off age ceremony yet. It's supposed to have it two thousand years ago but something happened." She was in complete until she went through the ceremony.
"coming of age, they have a ceremony for that?" Runni asked, he didn't really know the Ceremony's or regulations that other people went through.
Jade nodded. "Some do, usually there's a special person that does it, usually." She shrugged and smiled. "Me not having one just means I can't generate my own electricity yet."
Jade thought for a moment, anything was possible but she wasn't sure. "I don't know, I haven't heard of such a thing but I suppose if done properly, anyone can preform it."
Jade thought again. What was it? There was something that would able our bodies to generate electricity... "There's a sermon that is commonly said, there's usually some kind of royalty or a 'priest' and... there's something that..." She tried to remember, tried to think of how to describe it. "It's a potion of some sort I think, something that is used to give use the ability to generate our own electricity, but I don't know what makes it or where it comes from."
Jade nodded, if only she knew what happened. She could always ask for help because admittedly, it was too long to wait for such a thing wasn't it? She was too scared to ask anyone for help though, she wasn't even sure who to ask.
"The queen..." Jade muttered, but she had always been too scared to approach royalty. "Any of the royalty I guess or anyone with great power?"
Jade looked at him and nodded. "Alright." She was sure she knew why but it didn't matter at the moment now did it?
Jade wasn't actually sure, she was usually here alone. She shrugged and sat down on one of the rocks. "Not sure... I've never been here with anyone before."
Jade felt her cheeks heat up and she thought of something to do though it wasn't much. She just wanted to talk. "So... um... wh-what about you?"
"I rarely have social interaction so, I don't really know." Runni said with an awkward smile as he scratched the back of his head.
Jade nodded. "Same here... I guess we just talk about ourselves?" She hadn't talked to many people after all. Sara, Adrian, Ivan, Mami, and now Runni.
"How about question for a question? You ask something which I answer and then I ask you something." Runni suggested.
Jade thought then nodded. "Sounds good."
"Um... Where are you from?" Jade asked after a moment.
"Program computers, play video games, and hack into random organizations." Jade admitted. "What do you do?"
Jade thought, that was a hard one, she guessed she wanted what she had always wanted. Even when she was a human. "I want to protect my friend." Like she protected me.
Jade smiled a little, her cheeks dusting pink. "What about you?"
