Kristin strolled into the gardens, picking an apple off a low branch as she walked into the gardens and took a bite. In a leather satchel slung on her shoulder lay a vast variety of food, but a couple apples wouldn't hurt. She picked a few more off and tossed them in. She walked in a little ways more before sitting down at a bench, looking around. It was not quite summer, and the place was overwelmed with a humid, heavy aroma of flowers in full bloom.
Jaden finished crawling under the hedge. That rule loving d... moss thing was beginning to get annoying. Standing up he brushed the dirt off his shirt. Now for some food. There had to be a fruit tree or berry bush somewhere in this garden. Jaden started off following the path, his eyes screening the sides for any sign of a fruit.
Kristin looked amusedly as a boy looked to and fro, obviously looking for something to eat. His shirt was stained with sweat and and he looked worn out. Feeling generous, she took out an apple from her sack and tossed it with ease at his palm, which was, for whatever reason, already open, as if expecting something to fly into it.
Jaden felt the apple his his hand and grabbed it reflexively. Jumping back in surprise and looking down at his hand he stood in a crouch, as if expecting to be attacked by an apple tree. After thinking it through for a few seconds Jaden straightened and looked for the source of the apple. Spotting Kristin he said, "Hello! Did you see where this apple came from? It seems to have either jumped from the nearest tree into my hand or you might have thrown it."
Kristin gave a lopsided grin. "I'd go with the former." She took another bite from the apple in her hand and then shrugged off the bow and arrow that had been latched onto her back all day, rolling out her shoulders. She then took out a hunk of bread from the satchel and tore off a rather large piece, throwing it his way once more.
((I keep looking at your picture and thinking, "HAIR! Wait, thats a cat..." This has been another episode of 'Inside the Head of Brandon The Distracted' thank you for reading.))Jaden grabbed the apple with his mouth and caught the bread, "Fwanks." Taking the apple back in his hand he moved over to a nearby oak tree he sat in the shade, "So what brings you here?"
((Haha, oh look, it DOES look like hair... What has been seen cannot be unseen.))"Spring. And food." She answered simply, finishing the apple and starting on her own piece of bread. She looked at the boy, who seemed a couple years younger than her. 17, or 16, perhaps. She stuffed her mouth full of bread, to give her an excuse for her silence.
She was silent for a few more seconds, taking her time to chew and swallow. "Thanks." She looked at him with a small smile before clarifying, "spring as in the season."
((I feel kind of like i'm leaving you hanging but the internet turns off in nine minutes and I'll be off until tomorrow around fourish.))"I know. I just like playing with words." Jaden continued to grin foolishly at his own joke. "I don't think i introduced myself, I'm Jaden. Skipper of stones and classes."
((That's cool. We can continue this then. :) ))Kristin couldn't help but give a smile at that. "Pleasure. Name's Kristin." Her words were terse and clipped, but not unfriendly. "Food lover-" She paused- "And thrower," she added after some consideration. She pushed her sack and weapon off of the bench and gestured for him to sit.
((sorry, not the most inventive. But i'm being distracted by a movie. Took me an hour just to get that.))
"Nope. I'm not exclusive." She replied, scooting over towards the edge of the bench. She could stand being friendly, so long as he didn't go over the line.
"Well i'm glad it hit my hand not my face is all." Judging by her reaction he must have said something funny. And not a good funny.
"Consider yourself lucky." Idle banter. At first, it had amused her. Now, it was boring, bordering on annoying. But she preferred this to personal questions. He didn't seem like one to dissect her past, someone who thought they had some sort of jurisdiction over her personality. Would it be rude of her to stand up and leave? Yes, it would. So she stayed. A few more minutes of this wouldn't hurt.
((Are you sure you are doing homework? That was quite deep. Now if i can pull my head out of the shallow end of the pool of thought i might actually write something intelligent.))"Luckiness considered." Jaden frowned, "I don't think my luck is that good. I never seem to win at cards."
"Are you telling me that you don't cheat at cards?" Kris asked, raising her eyebrow. It was hard to tell if she was joking, for despite the mocking arch of her brow, her face remained passive and solemn. ((Haha, nah... I honestly have no idea what I'm saying half the time.))
"Uh... Not necessarily. I could cheat, but my luck wouldn't hold out long enough for me to both not be discovered and win." Jaden scratched his head, "Wait a second, how did we get on the subject of cards?"
"You were speaking of luck." Kris replied, face bordering on friendliness but somehow still closed-off. Half of her face was completely obscured from view by her long, blonde hair which had become tangled into odd shapes and designs by the gentle breeze blowing through the garden. She was only partially in the moment, half of her mind still wandering around, enjoying the early summer breeze, blocking out the boy's words but present enough to look somewhat interested in what the boy was saying and participate in the conversation.
"Oh. That i was." Jaden put his hands together regretfully, "I hate to ask this but i'm feeling rather lucky right now, would there happen to be another loaf of bread in that bag of yours?"(Sorry if this sounds stupid... I am in a, 'think of something! Think of something to say quick!' mode right now...)
"Sadly, no, I'm afraid not." Kristin said with a small, slightly-amused smile which failed to reach her eyes. She picked up her worn, yet beautiful leather satchel from the ground and opened it up, taking out a wooden container. She unscrewed the lid and took out a small, green, oval-shaped fruit, moving her hand in his direction. "Grape?"
"Well that's just grape! I'll take one if you don't mind." Jaden tried to resist smiling but it came out anyway.(Ah, puns. Gotta love the puns, even when they aren't really puns.)
Daniel was flying on the garden, he was big and powerful... He was looking for the landing place in where Dragons land to not destroy everything, but he didn't found it so he land in a path clear and beautiful
Celest, an awkward teen who's just shipped off to the dragon academy to start her school. She's new here and there's no one to talk to her. She's walking alone on the beautiful garden, but then she noticed a dragon flying overhead. It landed somewhere in the other side where dragons usually land.
Daniel landed and started walking trying to not detroy anything, which was hard because he was big... He started thrwing a bit of water to the plats, watering them...
Celest was walking towards the big dragon, mystified by it's shininess, and SPLASH! Water rained on Celest and she was soaking wet. "AGGHH!!! MY NEW BAG! MY BOOKS!!!" She looked up, annoyed "EXCUSE ME MR.DRAGON BUT CAN'T YOU SEE PEOPLE AROUND HERE?" (do dragons talk through their mouth or mind here???)
"First of all, People is for two or more... And you're the only one here... so is person... Second of all I can do it, I got the right to as this is the garden for Dragons and Humans" He said whitout stoping(Mouth)
She mumbled, still annoyed "I guess dragons can count. Majestic creatures huh.." and saw that the creature was still staring at her so she replied "Yeah Mr.Dragon, but don't you think you could have been a little careful or so?" and a little sorry would have sufficed, she thought.
Dragons were flying around heading to one side to another just on top of them, most of them using there powers not caring..."You see, all dragons are using their powers freely... This is the school" He said taking a flower in his claws which were at the side of his wings
"Oh yeah. You get to throw fire balls in free will here. Forgot that little detail," she thought to herself."I guess I'm officially a dork then, probably because I'm pretty much new here, you see. Anyways, what's your name? I'm Celest." And she took a flower too, smelling it. It smelled like vanilla.
"I love Vainilla..." He said to himself"I'm Daniel. Nice to meet you Celest" He said smiling charming
Huh! She didn't know that dragons could smile. She only saw many flying over her place, but never got to meet one. She was a little overwhelmed about it. "So um... what are you doing here? I was supposed to attend this class, archery or something, but the place is so big. I can't even find it."
"Archery? Hmmm... But that's not a require class... You don't have to go... But it's that way, following the path then turning on left" He said showing her
"Oh thank you so much! Anyways, I gotta run! I have stuff to clean and my dorm room to find. I hope we can meet again, soon." She was feeling really happy after meeting him. She even forgot all about the splash.
