Have you seen any movie adaptations of any of these books? Or maybe just know of some? Chat about them here!
I know there are a few of Pride and Prejudice, but have not seen any.
I have seen an older one of Jane Eyre, and I thought it was quite good.
I have seen The Secret Life of Sherlock Holmes and thought it was quite true to the characters and had a few really funny parts. Along with that, I have also seen the new Sherlock Holmes movies. I'll start a list in the next comment for easy reference!

Camille (camillesbookishadventures) The Jane Eyre from 2011 is pretty good. I also like the one from 1996.

Camille (camillesbookishadventures) As for Pride and Prejudice, the 1995 BBC adaptation is great.
A lot of people don't like the 2005 version, but I liked it, especially the soundtrack and videography.

Oh, I did not know there was a Jane Eyre that new. The one I saw was in black and white.

Michael Fassbender plays Rochester in the most recent version, he's pretty good!

There is a film version of Persuasion with Kiaran Hinds, with beautiful photography (Bath and Lyme Regis ) and the casting is excellent.

Oh, I truly love that version! It's very true to the book and the acting is suberb. I watch it at least once a year.

Right now, I'm awaiting a copy of A Passage to India, having just finished the book. I read that there was a lot of controversy between director and actors, but I can't wait to see the places and the portrayals of all the characters. *undignified squeeze of anticipation*

I watched the film of Lolita with James Mason and Peter Sellers ages ago. Lolita was an older teenager in the movie, but in the book she is much younger apparently.
