Just seen a very limited cinema release movie called Your Name, a Japanese human drama anime about two distant and unconnected young people who share a dream.

I will not say anymore of the story as per usual but know that the film is well received.

I found it to be an absolutely lovely story and very enjoyable.

Its being shown at only selected cinemas on single specific days. In UK, it was shown yesterday in London. In US, Los Angeles, on 2nd December, etc. You can of course wait for its blu ray release (or streaming service) but if you like to see it in the cinema, here are the list of locations and dates.

As I said, it was charming, sweet, engaging and an unravelling story many of you, I'm sure will like.

8/10

Dean I love Anime and can't wait to see this., but looks like I may need to wait for the DVD release.

If it gets close to the likes of Whisper of the Heart or Only Yesterday then I'll be happy.

It has the feel of those two films which I also love too! Have you seen When Marnie was There? Another lovely time/supernatural anime (studio ghibli) you must watch :)

Dean I was given When Marnie was There for Xmas and watched it last night with my wife who read the book about a year ago.

Thought it was great and the ending, especially with the beautiful song playing over the end credits brought on the invisible zombie onion peelers.

I'm absolutely gutted that I have more or less run out of Ghibli films to watch. I guess I'll just have to watch them all over again!

Even though Studio Ghibli has ended their production of animated movies, there are still many lovely Ghibli-style movies to watch now or look forward to in future :)

Dean True enough - as well as Your Name, I want to try to get hold of the tv series Anohana, and also Your Lie in April, but they're not readily available.

Dean Finally got my DVD of Your Name, and it is a very fine film indeed.
