Excellent! Sometimes when reading a book from an earlier time (1926 for this book), the writing is so odd/different that it makes it difficult to read.... Not so with this book. The writing is easy to understand and the story moves right along. This is an entertaining read.
This is one of Agatha Christie's best mysteries. When my younger daughter was in high school she did an English paper on mysteries from different eras in the 20th century. I recommended that she use this one for Agatha Christie, and she enjoyed it too.
I helped her proof read it. It was fun. She also did a P.D. James novel, I think it was Cover her Face.

Great recommendation to your daughter Rosemarie, it's a fabulous book.

I see Cover Her Face is one of our 1000 to read books. Yay!"
I don't think I've ever read P.D. James, which I must rectify this year. Will keep in mind to recommend Cover Her Face, the first Adam Dalgleish, as our book of the month.
The only P.D. James book I have read is her science fiction book Children of Men. I thought it was okay.

Wow! What a great premise for a paper! I’ll bet it was a fascinating study.
