The Bowie Book Club discussion

Hello all,

I'd like your opinion on the following proposal about choosing our readings : would it make sense to keep the two first books that were voted on in the poll and have a poll every two months instead of monthly?
Why am I asking this:
1) It is getting harder to have monthly book nominations
2) Often same titles are being nominated
3) We hardly get a 10% turnover at the poll, it would be great to have a 20% turnover
4) It is strange but it seems once we've voted on one book, we're already thinking about the next reading
5) It will give you extra time to get hold of the copy of both books
6) It will give me some room in between thinking about nominations and putting up polls ;-)

If you agree to this, then we can keep the two books that come first in the current poll as our February and March readings.

I'd be ok with this. Often I do not know what to nominate because I'm not sure I would be able to acquire a copy.

I think that this is a great idea. I have missed out became i wasn't able to purchase the book etc. I just finished The man who fell to earth and don't have a copy of Lolita yet.

And I've misplaced my copy of Lolita (sigh) ;-)
