Sleeping Giants or Dark Matter are the two most often seen recommendations on Litsy for me, so I may go with one of those (probably Sleeping Giants?) One recommendation by a friend that has long been sitting on my TBR is The Master Butchers Singing Club.

Both Sleeping Giants and Dark Matter were fantastic! And both were very outside what I normally read, too.

Yes! Same here (outside of what I normally read) - but I've only heard excellent things about them both, so I'm going to go for it! :-)
A buddy of mine has been pushing Mary Roach's "Grunt" and this will be my entry for this one Grunt: The Curious Science of Humans at War
I asked for recommendations on Facebook from my bookish friends. I'm going with either Ishmael by Daniel Quinn or The Given Day by Dennis Lehane.

I loved the Master Butcher's Singing Club. I think it may be one of my favorite books. I also read Dark Matter and Sleeping Giants. Both of those are fun reads.
I am Pilgrim was recommended to me by my brother. I know nothing about it and have no expectations which is my fave.
My friend recommended this book:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
It is literally breaking my heart.
I read The Pearl That Broke Its Shell by Nadia Hashimi for this. Recommended by my sister. It was fantastic and heartbreaking.
I read A Gentleman From Moscow after my sister recommended it. It was amazing. Good taste must run in the family.
Luke Skywalker Can't Read: And Other Geeky Truths recommended to me on Litsy...and if you need a recommendation, I recommend it.
