RP with your soon-to-be-tribute and any others (other tribute/family/friends/etc) from their district. If you need somebody to step in and play a family member/friend/etc, there are people in this group who I'm sure would be happy to do so, such as myself.

Dare sat on the curb, eating some bread. She'd finished her official training for the day, but she'd probably go throw some knives or something once she'd finished. Reaping was tomorrow, after all, and if she was picked...

She glanced up, rather disinterested. She flicked some loose strands of hair out of her face nonchalantly. "Yes?"

"What does it look like I'm doing?" She asked, tilting her head, which have her a slightly arrogant look. She held the bread which she had been eating with her left hand, as she leaned back onto her other.

"Wrong. I'm talking to you." She blinked. "Do you see bread in my mouth?"

"Smart aleck? No. Someone who'll bash your face in if you annoy me? Yes."

"It only takes a few seconds," she shrugged. "Then you're less annoying, I'm happy, and your face is bashed in."

"Or I could bash yours first."

"Don't believe me?"

"Kill me? My, this elevated quickly." She raised an eyebrow.

"You suggested it." She glanced down at her nails. Ergh! She would have to get those done before tomorrow. They were horrid!

"Dare. Or at least that's what everyone calls me."

She nodded. "I've heard of you."

"I've heard of everyone in this place. I have ears. And eyes."

((XD I'm sorry. It's fun reading their conversation. "Not if I bash yours first."))

"And now you don't believe I have eyes or ears. Really, you ought to be less disbelieving."

"Because knowing those people might be the difference between life and death. In going to have to fight one of them someday, and if I don't know their strengths, their weaknesses, their strategies, I have no chance."

She frowned. "Surprisingly not a lot. Your name is Lysander Payne, you're 18, your mother died when you were younger, you consider your strength to be one of your greatest assets, and you have trouble trusting people." She shrugged.

"Exactly." She shrugged. "You're a but of an enigma so far. Not that it matters."

"Smart," she said, although she was getting disinterested in the conversation.

"Yeah, you too, I guess." She shrugged and returned to her bread.
