OK - on my computer it does look like the previous books are being read by others. I'm glad. I really wanted to be able to read books together and talk about them. Forgive my technological lapse.
Amy, it's as big a mystery to me as it is to you. There are so many groups, options, sub-genres and what-not. It feels like wandering around an IKEA store.
Phillip you made me laugh out loud! You've just become my reason to stick with it! I love Jewish reads and in November was simply knocked out by the Zookeepers Wife.
Well. Now that I have your attention. We aren't really supposed to plug our own books here, so I won't ask you to read my book, Dark Muse, and I certainly (gasp) won't ask you to review it.
Who, me?
Why Phillip I'm honored that you asked. I'll look it up. Are you sure, after I gave the Pinch such a low review? I'm kidding, I'm sure I'll love it and have something constructive to say. Let me look it up tonight.
Just did - looks like Goodreads rated it 5 stars; Congratulations. This is not normally my preferred genre, but it looks intriguing. I'm going to see if it fits into an upcoming challenge or tag soon, so I can stretch myself during a time that its an extra gift to read it that month. If that doesn't happen within a reasonable amount of time, bug me and I'll read it anyway. I have immeasurable respect for authors and the art they produce - I'm looking forward to your story. In the meantime, congratulations. Best, Amy
From what I gathered reading the reviews on The Pinch, my book is very different. Yes, it's a paranormal, but it takes place in a real city, the Montreal where I live. And I don't overwhelm the reader with flowery prose, I dive into the action. It's a different book in many ways. And thanks for agreeing to look at it.

Perhaps others have viewed this book quite differently, but I couldn't make heads or tails of this thing. I found it incredibly hard to follow, and I wasn't quite hooked. I wonder if the author has more success with the other titles, as I have heard of them - maybe this is hit or miss? For me it was a miss.
I'm definitely reading safekeeping because my friend in New York is reading this too. Plus it arrived from the library. Is anyone else?
