Andrew Schultz | 2 comments Joining this group inspired me to write one, for The Star Crystal by Ron Martinez, and I'd be curious if anyone else had a similar favorite. It might be fun if we all wrote for our favorite Choose Your Own Adventure or whatever.

Doug, thanks for setting up this group. I keep forgetting to log on to goodreads, so I was glad to have motivation to.

Steph C | 1 comments I don't think I wrote reviews for them, but Ryan North's Shakepearian choose-your-own-adventures are particular favorites of mine, including both the original story (with snarky commentary), all kinds of bizarre alternate stories (some of the best involving Macbeth Senior, the 'playable character' who dies immediately and can do stuff like get revenge on Claudio himself by overlapping him and then becoming corporeal in a massive blood explosion, or using his glowing form and lack of need to breathe to become an early marine biologist), and several sub-adventures such as the Nurse Quest from Romeo and/or Juliet, which includes actual puzzles. Plus really awesome art from a ton of guest artists!

Andrew Schultz | 2 comments I read Ryan North's Machine of Death compilation, but I didn't read that. Something for the list.

The most recent CyoA style book I read was Neil Patrick Harris's Choose Your Own Autobiography. It's about what you'd expect, and it's rather good. I thought. The bad ends are very funny.
