Carla (writeon1913) I finished reading Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly which is the book and research that inspired the forthcoming movie.

I read and loved Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit by Jaye Robin Brown. It's YA fiction. The title caught my eye when I saw it on a cart of recently returned items, but the 1st paragraph of the book summary hooked me.

Annice (asevett) | 37 comments I am almost finished with an Advanced Readers' Copy of Right Behind You by Lisa Gardner. I have never read Lisa Gardner before however I am loving her writing style. I will probably go back and read the others in this series by her.

The book comes out in early February, however you can put your name on the list now for it.

Carla (writeon1913) I read a short story called Shine by Jodi Picoult which is a prequel to Small Great Things, but is from Ruth's childhood.

Currently reading Jenn McKinlay's newest title from her Library Lover's mystery series titled Better Late Than Never. I started reading the series when I was in grad school and I love to reconnect with the characters once a year.

Annice (asevett) | 37 comments I am almost finished with Joanne Fluke's Winter Chill. I enjoy her cozy mystery series featuring Hannah Swensen but have never read her standalone novels until now.
