The end of this part ended in a cliffhanger. The Jabberwock is the the theater!
Everything goes wrong for Catherine. I can't believe that she actually stole some of the pumpkin from Sir Peter and he knows it. So she doesn't win the baking competition, her parents want her to marry the King and do not support her dream. She and Jest are in love, but Jest won't fight for her affection because of the King. Still, I don't know how the Jabberwock will play its part in this story.

There is also something I do not get. The Turtle turned into a Mock Turtle by the cake Catherine made. But she had already made several test cakes and she tried them and Lady Peter has eaten the rest of the cake from the competition. Why is only the Turtle affected by it? Is this later on explained?

She made a test cake with a different Pumpkin. xxx
