Brenda I'll try for 5 AWW Classics books for the first year as I'm not a big classics reader :)

message 2: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Good luck Brenda. I'm not big on classics either, but I might join in on this one. Sounds like fun :)

message 3: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Thanks Sharon - to be truthful, I don't know many. The only one I can think of is Picnic at Hanging Rock which I've read already :)

message 4: by Sharon (new)

Sharon I'm having the same problem. I came up with Pride and Prejudice

message 5: by Brenda (new)

Brenda The trouble is Sharon, she's not an Australian author :)

message 6: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Oh gosh yes silly me :)

message 7: by Brenda (new)

Brenda :) Easy to do..

Brenda Thanks Theresa :) Here's the link - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

If you can link them it'd be great - we can then just click on them to check them out :)

To do that - click on "add book/author" in the comment box, type in the book title and "search". When the correct title comes up, hit "add" and it'll appear in the comment box. Go back in and change over from "book" to "author" and click "add" for the author and there you'll have it!

I've already added The Thorn Birds but you can add it again if you wish :)

And I see you've created your own thread too... well done!

Amy the book-bat (batkisses) I'm hoping to find the The Silver Brumby books... I don't know if I will be able to track them down here in the States... they look like they would be cute stories

message 10: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Ooh they do Amy :) Thanks! I'm going to check them out too!

message 11: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Oh no! Sorry, I didn't know you were on the app... thanks for doing it though :)

message 12: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Yes it would be sensible, wouldn't it! I don't have it so only know from what others say...

message 13: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Playing Beatie Bow by Ruth Park I will borrow from the library

Oh! Mary Poppins! I didn't realize that was Australian author... I know I get get some of those here in the States without any trouble :-)

Amy the book-bat (batkisses) Brona's Books wrote: "Yes she was born and raised in Australia. She emmigrated to the UK when she was about 25."

I was thinking she was British, so I guess I wasn't too far off if she lived there as well. I never read Mary Poppins as a kid, so now is a good time to do so!
