The word usage was very powerful, yet easily comprehensible. There was a level of sophistication that reminded me of a textbook without the sedative effects. The message was clear and concise, but the story was very engaging. I thought it was interesting that most killers are not creepy loners but in fact are slightly less creepy adults with real jobs and sometimes even families. Ramsland strays from the typical serial killer and talks about women, children, and teenagers. She discusses the psychology behind murderers, or the lack of concrete findings.
The book was honestly a really good read, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to learn about murder, and the motives behind it. "Inside the Minds of Mass Murderers: Why They Kill" by Katherine Ramsland was one of the more interesting books I read. She used specific stories to help incapsulate her point. The use of facts as well has emotional moments created a story that was worth reading. I recommend this book and any other book by her because her writing style is genuine and easy to read. A book about murders opened my eyes and completely changed how I looked at the world and the people in it.
