I know, I keep backing off from all sorts of books in my tbr since I won't get 'points' if I read them now. =) I keep reminding myself that there is less than a couple weeks to go. So working my way thru shorter holiday-themed stories instead.
I think we are all ready to start the challenge. There are still some that I'm trying to decide what to read. Guess I don't have to decide that before hand.
I may end up slotting books into the categories as I read them (or when I'm done). It might get too inhibiting to put titles in beforehand, even if we can change them. I usually pull a book out based on my mood at the moment...
I'm so sorry, it seems I've been remiss in posting what I've read! I've just gone merrily along filling in my list above but not saying anything in a post! =\ I'll try to keep up, lol. In the meantime the last two books I read for this challenge are:10. Rhys Bowen - Royal Blood
(Her Royal Spyness)11. Harper Lin - Cappuccinos, Cupcakes, and a Corpse
(Cape Bay)
Dagny wrote: "I'm just now reading a Georgie book! Behind in the series, but ahead of you with #8 Queen of Hearts. Really enjoy this series."I have my next one downloaded, Naughty in Nice. I need to read a few more for a couple of other challenges before I dare start on it, tho!
Reading my first craft-themed book of the year to finish off another challenge - called Basket Case
and so far so good.
Though there weren't any instructions of projects in this one, there were a couple of recipes, interestingly enough, as food played a big part. However, the talk of crafts were definitely part of the story.
Just finished Peaches and Scream
as part of my additional twenty. Very good start to a series. Love the setting of a peach farm.
Have finally started catching up with a series I started from the time it first came out in the early 2000s, the Jaine Austen mysteries. (Not Jane the Regency author but rather Jaine, an L.A. freelance writer -- her mother loved the classics but misspelled her first name!) I just read the 12th in the series, Killing Cupid
and it was fun to revisit the main characters, which includes Jaine's sometimes uppity cat, Prozac. Have added it as my 13th additional book.
Meg wrote: "Reading my first craft-themed book of the year to finish off another challenge - called Basket Case

Oddly I've into that in a couple other books recently.I liked the Silver Six, too. So nice to see such solid, supportive friendship among such a diverse group.
Finished the first books in three series and really enjoyed them all. I would recommend them:
(paranormal)
(MC has a really different occupation)
I think I just have five more to go! The two holiday books I'll read closer to Christmas; the three "own-choice" ones will be coming soon. I've joined so many challenges (faking myself into thinking that I'm knocking down the fun TBR that I keep adding to!) so have been spreading out my reading. I also aim to read different/unique books for each challenge so it takes a bit to fill in open spots. Totally enjoying it all, tho!
One of my latest reads was
Forget Me Knot.Very good, imo. Quilting theme. It addresses an unpleasant subject matter but I felt the author handled it quite well.

Have this one on my TBR. Glad to hear this is good.
Hooray, posted the last of my additional 20, which is also no. 208 in my 250-book 2017 Goodreads Reading Challenge. (Hope that made sense!)
I intended from the start to read and post books for this group challenge that did not get used in other group challenges, so it took awhile to get the 20. =)
Just two more to go for the total 40...have held off reading the holiday-themed books until close to Christmas.

Wow, I am so impressed with your 250 book challenge for 2017, and that you're at 208 for the year--way to go!
Thank you, Donna. =) It helps to be retired. LOL. I promised myself eons ago that as soon as I retired that I would read, read, read. It's been so much fun to really dive into my TBR this year!
