Divergent discussion

The School is where the students of all factions receive their education before the initiation.

Kate had to go to school today-not for lessons, but because she had to help with a delivery of food to the school's cafeteria. She was dressed in a flowing yellow ankle-skirt, red weaved sandals, a red camisole, a yellow scarf, and yellow wildflowers pulled back in her bun. Anyone who looked at her from a distance would know she was from Amity. She was currently walking down the hallway with a large box of food, accidentally knocking into someone. "O-oh, excuse me! I'm sorry!" She stammered an apology, embarrassed. "Are you okay?"

Silver stumbled back, keeping her balance. Her clothes were of her birth faction. Tomorrow she would wear Dauntless clothes. Silver looked around the box, her nose a little red. "Fine. Do you need any help?" Silver asked her, eyeing the box.

"N-no, I'm fine," She smiled politely, pleased to see someone from Abnegation. She always admired how thoughtful and selfless they were. "Although if you do want to help me, then I won't mind,"

Silver laughed. "What can I carry then?" Silver frowned in her head. How am I ever going to fit into Dauntless? Oh well.

"You can help me unpack the food in this box and put it in the freezer. There's a lot and I can't do it all by myself," She said, walking into the school's kitchen. Off to the side was the giant freezer, and Kate set her box down in front of it. "Alright, first we need some scissors or something to open this box," She wiped her forehead, even though a box like that was absolutely nothing for a former Dauntless member.

Silver nodded and found some scissors. She opened them up wide and opened the box. "There you go." She said, opening it. She opened the fridge door and started to unpack. Silver was wondering what faction the lady used to be in.

"Hey, don't unpack it all without me!" She teased, taking the other half of the food and carefully packing them into the places they went, making different stacks to make more room. "With two of us, the work will be done sooner!"

Silver laughed again. "Hallelujah." She smiled as she worked. she brushed her short hair out of her eyes, "I'm going to need to cut it again." She mumbled.

"I think your hair looks pretty!" Kate smiled as they left the freezer. Her own hair was curly and pulled up into a bun and was dyed a deep violet. "I could never imagine cutting my own hair, honestly. Although you're from Abnegation, I thought women never cut their hair there?" She asked in a curious tone.

Crytal ran through the hallway and bumped into two girl who were rapidly unpacking.She smirked and paused waiting for them to finish.

Silver jumped out of the way of the running girl. "They're not supposed to cut it as short as I do." She said quietly.

Kate glanced back at the running girl for a second. "You don't fit in with your Faction either, hm?" She revealed a pink heart tattoo under her right eye. "Dad thought this would make me fit in better in my old Faction, but it didn't really. Everyone thought it was too girly and simple,"

Silver smiled. "I thinks it works for Amity. Were you in, um, Dauntless?"

"You got it!" She winced slightly. "I never want to think about Dauntless ever again. Everyone made fun of me on my initiation ceremony when I chose to leave instead of stay, and that I picked Amity of all places!" She smiled. "But I have no regrets,"

Silver smiled and looked at her hands. "I'm there now." She said.

"Wow,cool style well for an abnegation" she smiled never seeing a abnegation with that hair cut only dauntless , looking down at her long curly chestnut brown hair "but I would never want to cut my hair"

"Good luck with that," She said simply, walking back into the hallway. "I don't think anyone else is here right now, why don't we walk around a bit? It's been a while since I've come here," She smiled politely.

Silver looked at the new girl's hair. "Thanks. What Faction are you from?" Silver asked. "Oh! and my name is Silver. Silver Smith." She said, seeing if they knew the name.

"There needs to be more long-haired girls in Dauntless. I never wanted mine cut, but everyone kept giving me a hard time, so I finally dyed it," She rubbed it slightly. "I liked the color so much however, that I still manage to keep it dyed in Amity. It's vegetable juices!"

"Im from Dauntless, Scarlett Nightingale Nice to meet you umm...Silver" She smirked,forwarding her hand

Silver smiled. Everyone is unique.

"I'm surrounded by Dauntless initiates," She said simply, hiding her face.

"Scarlett Nightingale." she shook her hand. "Nice to meet you. Love the name."

"ok then,dont shake my hand" She said quietly and withdraw her hand.They say that dauntless were rude.

Kate still shook Scarlett's hand, since at the end of the day she was still kind. "So what are you two doing here, anyway? I'm here on delivery, but how about you two? Still enrolled?"

Silver shook her head. "Seeing my home for the last time." Silver said. she meant the school. Never with Harry Jones.

"Oh, so you must be getting ready to be initiated! I'd love to watch one for once. Although I'd get sad seeing all the potential Amity initiates go elsewhere," She said in a sad tone, looking down at her feet.

"No I'm having a meeting with the headmistress, she finished talking to me about some information, what faction are you lot in by the way " She smiled.

Silver nodded.

"Silver's from Abnegation," Kate stated, motioning to the girl's grey dress. "She wants to be in Dauntless though,"

"yeah like a wasting their talents.Hope your thinking about joining Dauntless, your haircut would fit perfectly with US"She smiled

"I'm choosing my Fraction tomorrow."

"cant wait have fun choosing"She smiled, she always like having new members in Dauntless

"Part of me wished to be in Abnegation though," Kate said very quietly, keeping a secret that in reality, her tests showed her scoring for two Factions: Amity and Abnegation. She was told to keep it a secret, and she had been doing a good job of it.

Silver laughed. "Thanks. What position are you in?" Silver looked at Kate. "It's a good place as long as you have someone." Silver also and odd results from her test.

"I'm second in command at Dauntless headquarters, If you're thinking about joining dauntless then I can help you out when you get there, some people there push young recruits down" she said not wanting to be ignored.She smiled and looked back down at the reports of new c candidates she just been given by the headmaster, Silver Smith...umm interesting she thought.

"I don't really have a title in Amity, since I'm a recent initiate, but we don't really have things like that anyway," Kate explained shyly. "We don't believe one person is better than anyone else,"

Scarlett raised her eyebrows and asked" didn't you want to become a dauntless" She smirked remembering a girl who was completely useless at everything.She remembered wondering why she even applied for dauntless then kate...RO LDA ph just disappeared in thin air

"I never wanted to be Dauntless, I was born into it and had to deal with how useless and weak I was compared to everyone else. I may be tall and physically fit on the outside, but on the inside, I'm a softie," Kate placed her hands on her chest.

She looked at the girl and said"I never thought you were physically strong and I guess dauntless isn't for the weak "She smirked looking at the girl in the eye, Daring her to rebel.Whoa I'm becoming mean, dauntless spirit is rubbing off on me she thought embarrassed bt she did not show it.A dauntless must be harsh ,i hate being a divergent, your character doesn't fit your chosen group she thought,mumbling

"I am, see my muscles?" She grinned slightly, stretching out her arm. "At least farming is a lot easier now, I do a lot of the heavy-duty lifting and stuff. I am weak, but I can't do anything about it except change my Faction. And so I did,"

"Oh ok, You don't need muscles to be strong, Well I don't really have any muscles just speed and agility and strategy, Dauntless isn't all about brutality" She said kind of offended looking angrily at kate as if she would rib off her head.

"I honed in on my physical strength," Kate said simply. "I never knew it would come in handy later though,"

Scarlett laughed at this comical display, a amity thinking they have physical strength.Her eyes twinkled with laughter.Kate stood there flexing her muscles and staring at her simply.

"What? What's so funny?" Kate demanded, her eyes flickering slightly. "I don't like to be laughed at!" She hid her face in embarrassment.

Silver stayed silent. She watched them talk and she was thinking about what Scarlett had said. I'm second in command, some people there push young recruits down. That reminded Silver of something she didn't want to think about. I'm a Stiff. I don't belong anywhere. My surname has weight to it. And where could I succeed at? I want to be a leader but then I'll see Harry. What?

Kate then looked over at Silver. "I've never heard of someone from Abnegation transferring to Dauntless, but it must happen at some point, right? I mean, I lived in Dauntless before going to Amity, anything's possible!"

Silver nodded. "Anything could happen at one point."
