I'm Laura from Stratford, Ontario. I recently had a career change and find i have more time to read. Looking forward to exploring some great books!
Hi, Laura! I am from just south of Ingersoll - about 35 minutes away from you. A career change is exciting, especially when it involves more time to read! I look forward to interacting.
My name is Rosie Christie and I am a member of the Thunderchild First Nation Reserve in Saskatchewan. I am a Canadian Author. I have always found writing a release but I have only started sharing my work recently when I published, "As Tears Go By" October 31, 2016. Hi everyone, I'm retired military and the Author of "Daily Wisdom." It is an Inspirational novel about being happy, cheerful, and at peace. One hundred percent of 2016 proceeds go to children in poverty. Thank's to everyone that supported "Daily Wisdom." Thanks for all the positive e-mails, letters, cards and special thanks to the 700 Club for their inspiring letter and praying that God's favor be with me to bless many people through my writing. God bless and Happy Holidays.
Lorraine wrote: "Congrats onDaily Wisdom! I have added it to my list."Thank you Lorraine, I hope you enjoy "Daily Wisdom" and that it brings you continued good health, peace, and prosperity for years to come.

Miranda wrote: "I'm Miranda! In my 20's, a senior at university. Taking care of my grandmother."I took care of my grandmother during my 20's as well. I'm sure you have lots of patience.
Check out a preview of my new book release date March 1st. No Better Than Anyone: Just as Good as Anyone
I plan to read your book and I believe it comes at a time when our country needs positive direction and hope.
To add to Lorraine's comment, my book entitled "YOU Working With YOU" is all about positive direction and hope. The key is to look within oneself as opposed to looking outside for the solutions to our problems. Namaste.
Happy New Year! I'm Brian! I'm a longtime writer but new fiction author from Nashville, TN. I've recently discovered Goodreads and am working to find my way around! Feel free to reach out to me on Goodreads or on Facebook @TheJingo.
Richard Morin, can't wait to read YOU Working with YOU, it sort of corresponds with my new release, No Better Than Anyone: Just as Good as Everyone. All about self respect, self esteem, accountability, positive direction; and it all begins with self love. We are only as good as we perceive ourselves to be.
They both sound like great books. Perception is such a crucial part of self-esteem. I love reading anything inspirational. Thank you.

Greetings,Ethan Holmes, author of six books and three more in progress, a writer usually writing novels about truly relevant issues of today. My latest novel, Water, was and is one of the most important matters facing humanity today. Potable water, the single most vital factor to the existence of the human race other than food, is rapidly becoming unavailable to more parts of the world than you realize. What will happen when you turn on the faucet and there's nothing there?
Hello, name's Sandra, I love books obviously and always looking for the next unforgettable book. I also love movies, music, trail running and working out. A husband who also likes to read but never has time for it. Love God, love family, love art. That's me. :)

A must read for those who love a compelling and mature courtroom drama."Diminished Capacity," is a critically acclaimed novel based on a real-life event. It is the story of a 2010 Minnesota rape case involving an adult male who assaults a minor female. In frank terms, the author walks the reader through this technically extensive and highly controversial case, starting with the man's arrest.
The perpetrator immediately pleads guilty and therefore foregoes his right to a trial by jury. He is eventually sentenced to 15 years in prison. His father, who is given power of attorney over his son's personal affairs, starts a tireless search of records and reports to find why his son did such a uncharacteristically despicable thing. After 2 years of investigating, he takes what he found to an aggressive attorney to forge a defense based on his findings. The attorney must now go before the Minnesota appellate court in order to get a trial by jury based on new evidence, which is granted.
The rest of the story is an emotional trial, which exposes every event that occurred before, during, and after the crime.
The book is carefully crafted and engrossing, building dramatic tension as the case unfolds in the courtroom until the moment it is placed in the hands of the jury.
And the reader is along for the exciting and thought-provoking ride.
This novel, by Goodreads author, Robert Clarence Swanson, is available at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. com. The reviews can be found on Goodreads.com
Hi everybody, I'm Diane. I live out in the country in Pennsylvania where book clubs are few and far between, so I'm excited about a virtual one. I'm a reader, not an author (except of my journal), although I used to be an editor/writer of magazine articles in a past career life. I love spiritual books and Quality fiction--my most recent favorite is All the Light We Cannot See. Favorite authors include Anne Lamott, Stephen Cope, C.S. Lewis, and Elizabeth Gilbert. Always looking for a good book recommendation. Glad to be here.
Hello All and Happy New Year!! I am a mom of 2 little ones (3 if you include my husband) who keep me busy and I'm new to GoodReads. I just self published my first book The Circle now I am looking for some good books to read and connect with fellow book lovers!

Hi everyone. One of the best books I've read this past year is "I Am Pilgrim" by Terry Hayes - it was recommended to me by a 96-year-old woman but don't let that fool you - very fast-paced and keenly plotted. I also found some ideas for new books on a podcast called Just The Right Book Podcast.
Hello everyone! I'm excited to be in this group of fellow readers. I'm an author too. It's lovely to see so many in here. My first book's called From Pain to Peace With Endo. I'm working on a second book right now that's turned into a memoir.Yay for Oprah's book choices! I'm looking forward to diving in.
