My name is Jenny, and I started this group to promoted the wonderful Authors of Australian Romantic Suspense. Also, to allow other readers to have a place they can discuss and find friendships with other Goodreads members who enjoy reading Australian Romantic Suspense. I have expanded the group to include international Romantic Suspense books.

Suzanne Brandyn (suzannebrandyn) | 12 comments Hi,
My name is Suzanne, and I write under the name Suzanne Brandyn. I absolutely love reading Romantic Suspense, and love writing Rural Romantic Suspense. I am a member of the Romance Writers of Australia and live with my husband on the Mid North Coast of NSW, with a rural landscape behind me and the ocean at my feet.
My husband is very supportive of my writing, and I have an office upstairs where the view of the surrounding bush is unbelievable.
I have been writing seriously for about eight years, and I can’t imagine not writing. Hubby says I get cranky if I don’t write. Lol

Jenn | 27 comments Hi I'm Jenn, going to be the big 40 in May. Love to read and love animals. I have 2 kids, a husband, 3 cats and 3 dogs. Just celebrated my 19th year at my job and my 20th anniversary with my husband. I pretty much love Paranormal Romance and Romantic Suspense and action adventure. I usually have 3-4 books going at once and I'm active with doing R2R's for authors, many of which I do regular reviews for so if anyone's interested just shoot me an IM and I would be happy to review your book:). I'm looking forward to making new friends who love to read as much as I do.

Elisabeth Rose (elisabethrose) | 44 comments Thanks, Jenny. I have three romantic suspense ebooks out. All are Sydney based although I live in Canberra. I know Sydney reasonably well because my children live there and I can use their suburbs as locations! I used one of my daughter’s apartments for my heroine’s home in Empty Heart.

Peter McKelvie | 9 comments Hi, I am Peter. I have written a couple of books in this Genre, Sutherland Downs and MacLeoads Manor, they are listed on Goodreads. I am reading lots, actually listening to lots. Have listened to about 8 of Annie Seatons Audiobooks in two months (love 'em), just listened to, Beneath Outback Skies - Alissa Callen and loved that, and have listened to the Shearers wife and sapphire falls, Fleur McDonald. My books have a rural background having come off a farm originally. Keen to read about what people like, and which authors they like.

L.C. Tang Hello! I am Ms. Lincee Tang, an artist, sailor and now an author.
I am excited to share my life story in my published memoir titled The Untold Tales of a Sailor at Sea.I learned that falling in love is not always with an individual and wrote about these adventures and romances in my first published book. I love to learn new languages, explore new recipes and read.

Anne Skyvington (anneskyvington) | 7 comments Hi, I'm Anne a woman in the radiant twilight years of life.

I self-published my first novel, 'Karrana', at the end of 2019. I'd just turned 76. I would love to find reviewers (paid) who like romance stories with a few twists and some added mysterious motifs, who like a good story set mainly in the country.

Is there paid subscription for reviews on Goodreads?

message 28: by Brenda (last edited Aug 05, 2022 10:55PM) (new)

Brenda | 361 comments Hi Anne. No there isn't, all reviews are voluntary.

message 29: by Brenda (last edited Aug 05, 2022 10:57PM) (new)

Brenda | 361 comments If you're not a member already Anne, join Aussie Readers and check through the threads. You can create your own thread in the Author Section where you can talk about your book, tell us your journey and request reviews.
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

Jenny will let you know what happens here as well :)

Then, if you're on Facebook, there's this group on there:

Let us know if you have any questions.

Welcome, Anne, to the Australian and Romantic Suspense Group.

Anne, as Brenda has highlighted.

Aussie Readers is a great group to highlight your debut novel and receive reviews from other readers.

In this group, I highlight Australian and International authors' books and let readers know where to purchase and the authors' social media pages. Another aim of this group is to highlight the fantastic Australian and International Romantic Suspense Authors. I also provide reviews of each book I read in this genre.

Anne, I would enjoy reading and reviewing your debut novel and placing your book here under Australian Authors.

Facebook Group:

Anne, if you want to pay someone to review your book try sites like this:

Anne Skyvington (anneskyvington) | 7 comments Does my novel, "Karrana", fit into the Romantic Suspense genre? I think so, as it does not follow the expected story line or plot that the reader might imagine from the more traditional beginning. There is a sense of mystery that infuses the story early on, and there is also an undercurrent of irony that is present throughout. Nature as a constant motif supports the theme of mystery and enhances the suspense at important times throughout the book.
