2017 TFG Bingo Challenge (Team Category)
• Books must be started after the start date of the challenge to count towards the challenge. START DATE is January 1, 2017 for the 1st pattern.
• Start date for 2nd pattern will be announced after a winner is declared for the 1st pattern. New sets of Bingo cards will be distributed for the 2nd pattern.
• Books must be 100 pages or more. Page numbers in Goodreads will be our official page number count.
• The following are not allowed and not valid:
* Graphic novels
* Re-reads
* F2F books. So check the F2F books before you count your books in the bingo.
* Books used in the previous bingo pattern, e.g. books in 1st pattern is invalid in the 2nd and 3rd patterns, etc.
• Any genre counts.
• Books used in the individual bingo challenge are allowed.
• Audio books are allowed.
• Any book in any language will count, as long as it meets the criteria.
• You may opt to disregard articles (The, A, An) at the start of title. Example, The Falconer works for both Starts with T or F.
• Once you actually join, please check-in with your partner to strategize and discuss book assignments, etc.

Hello, Ms Kath! Got a concern regarding our BINGO card. What do you mean exactly of "also a song title" from "mentions a song?" You mean the title is similar to a song title, or a song title mentioned in the book? Or lyrics? Pwede bonus? Haha.
Hello, Kwesi!- Also a song title - the book's title is also the title of a song. See this or this or this for samples.
- Mentions a song - within the pages of the book itself, a song was mentioned. It can be just the title of a song or lyrics of a song.

Hi, Bingo players!I need your opinion. Would you rather have:
Option A: 1 bingo card, 1 pattern (Blackout) for the year.
OR
Option B: The current set-up, i.e., 3 bingo cards, 3 patterns (T, F, G) for the year.

B. Current set-up (T,F,G) BUT if one team already wins a pattern, they'll be disqualified for the next patterns.

B wins! My concern was that after someone wins in the first pattern, and I distribute new bingo cards, it is possible to get a new bingo card with the same category as the 1st bingo card you received. Hence, if you have already read a book in that category, then received your 2nd bingo card with the same category, you will not be allowed to put in the previous book you have read. You have to read another book that fits the same category. Gets?!
But anyway, B wins!

About this Challenge
• As you may have guessed, the Team Bingo! Challenge is a team challenge. This is the first TFG team challenge. Individual TFG Bingo is here.
You may join one or the other or both.
• Sign-ups will start from now and will be open indefinitely.
• Each team will be composed of two (2) members. You can sign up as a pair or just sign up and teams will be grouped as members sign up for this challenge. Once there are two (2) who sign up, a team is formed. Please wait to be told who your partner is. Any “odd” person who signed up will have to wait for another member to sign up until he/she has a partner.
• Once a team is formed, assign a team captain and choose a team name (optional). The team captain will be the only one authorized to shout BINGO for the win!
• The challenge will begin on January 1, 2017 and run through until there is a valid Bingo! from a team. See the details below.
• This is a team challenge. Hence, each team member must read at least two (2) books which corresponds to a box in the pattern. However, the books read by each member may not necessarily be equal.
• First team to complete the pattern shall make a BINGO! shout out in this thread for the win.
• Teams must include the following information in the Bingo Shout Out:
Book Title (series, if applicable)
Author
Date read
Who read it
• Only books read starting January 1, 2017 will be counted. However, any book already used for a previous bingo pattern cannot be used in the 2nd and succeeding bingo patterns.
• Once the team is declared a winner, we are on to the next color coded bingo card and pattern and so on. Teams will be given a new bingo card for the next pattern.
• There will be a maximum of 3 bingo patterns for the year. We hope we can do all patterns! Good luck!
