Just when I have decided that short stories are not my thing, I read a few books of them that are brilliant. This is one of them.
Oyeyemi's writing is so good- it flows so well, and her ideas are mind-blowing. These stories are dark, and have magical elements. They are slightly intertwined, but each story stands alone, as well. My favorite was told by a puppet. A creepy one.
This book isn't for everyone, but this author is becoming a must read for me!

I didn't even know these were short stories! I've really been wanting to read this author too and haven't.

Reading these now. They are very good

This definitely sounds like a collection I will enjoy. It is already on my TBR, but I think I need to push it up the stack.
