Some actions can change rapidly and you might think you did something right but it can ultimately destroy someone/ something. This is what Jace will be facing to close the book. In which the ending is filled with so many twists and turns that it astonished me. so connor has just enlisted the help of the fire lookout Hannah Faber and Ethan is captured by the blackwell brothers in search for jace. Then through many attempts of escape jace and hannah climb up on top of mount republic in which ethan was taking the blackwell brothers to the same spot thinking that jace would not have done what he did. all the while ethan was waiting for his time to try to kill one of them, ¨There will be another chance to kill them¨ he said to himself.Getting down, maybe, there will be another chance ,another way, a better one. (pg. 309)¨ . After the storm passes, they find jace scurrying down the mountain , but when there focus was on jace as they look through the scope on their high perch, ethan took his one shot, grabbed a stone, swung, and broke Patrick's (one of the blackwell brotherś) jaw as they plummeted to their death´s. ¨He had the gun pointed at ethan but was unhurried as he advanced, and that was fine for jack, because he had no need to hurry, he had the gun and time and space and ethan had none of those things, he had only the fall waiting behind him. So he took it, and took patrick blackwell with him.¨(pg. 314)Then through many twists and turns( which I won't name because it would really spoil the book) the book ends in a fiery sad ending. One of these twist came to a complete shock to me and really surprised me because you were dragged into believe it and thought they were very trustworthy but it gets destroyed in the final section of the book. Their actions are their own in which they chose to commit terrible crimes and is a burden on everyone. And that just like jace you should never give up because if you give up you are the dying kind, but if you push through it you are the living kind.

I can relate with the "think you did something right but ended in a disaster" thing. Sounds like an intense book.
