DC on TV discussion

John Wesley Shipp's role in The Flash was recently confirmed. He will be playing Barry's father - Henry Allen.
John originally played Barry in the The Flash series from 1990.
Pretty cool...

I'm excited to see a flash show. He doesn't get enough credit with the casual fans.

Thanks. I guess I was a casual Flash fan - but after seeing Justice League: The New Frontier, Flash Point, those Arrow episodes, and now some of the older Flash series - Barry's pretty awesome. He's a nice guy, he's smart - he's more than just a guy with the speed force...

I liked his small appearance in Smallville but then from animated stuff liked him even more, so happy he's getting a show.

Barry Allen/ The Flash is actually one of the most complex characters in comics to tell the truth. From his origin to the disclosure that the speed force is what gives certain individuals their speed powers to his death in the fist Crisis series to his return.
Very complex life.

John Wesley Shipp will be attending the Steel City Con, December 5, 6 and 7, 2014. Very cool.
