So you'll start New Year's day?

The hype is building. I just watched a booktube video which discussed Traitor's Blade incidentally and I feel like the 22nd is tooooo far away. I might cheat here and start a bit earlier but I will try to resist the urge!
I'm starting a tad early because my library copy came ahead of schedule. I doubt I'll have time to get more than a chapter or two in before the 22nd.
Also, the dedication at the front made me laugh. This is going to be good.

I've never done a buddy read before but I think I'll join I got the book and I read the first couple of pages and am already liking it
This is my third buddy read and I think they're really fun! Welcome to this read :). Most people will be starting around the 22nd, I just went rogue lol.
Through chapter 4. So far it's a fun read. A tad condescending, but mostly just cheeky. It's giving off a 3 Musketeers meets Locke Lamora vibe.
I am starting right now - I have a slower day at work and I will take advantage of that right now! Exciting!
Through chapter two. (view spoiler)
Final thought: I am giggling so much, it is condescending but I would say sarcastic!
I read through a couple of chapters immediately after I finished my last book and I'm liking the cheeky writing I don't think I've giggled as much to a book before now
I've started and am in chapter 4. I like the 3 musketeers vibe - but it's kind of why I wanted to read this so no surprise there.Aristea I'm very glad I don't get the same mental image as you where Falcio is concerned haha.'

Lol! Although I have decided I need more Jake Gyllenhaal in my head. So I am considering switching Falcio to that! :p
I'm 13% done. It's entertaining in a cheesy made for Fox series kind of way. The line about (view spoiler) did have me laughing out loud.
Exactly Scott. It is cheesy a lot, but it's one of the those things for me that I enjoyed about the book.
Agree with you guys. There are plenty of laughs, though it does have it's more serious moments ;).

I started last night and couldn't stop until I was yawning so much I thought I was going to fall asleep mid-sentence. AKA I'm loving this. It can be cheesy but I'm loving the sarcasm and it's got enough worldbuilding to really get me interested in what's going to happen.
I haven't started it yet, my copy from Book Depository hasn't arrived yet. But I'll read it immediately the instant I receive it to catch up with you guys.
I am about 30% through and also enjoy it. It's very entertaining and I like the sarcasm. I even laughed out loud a couple of times. But that sort of sums it up for me. The duel scenes are bordering on surreal sometimes and beside the good fighter/great sarcasm/very funny part, the characters lack depth. Falcio is the only one with a bit of development I find. It's just a fun read.
