The Reading Challenge Group discussion

We're planning a new monthly challenge for 2017. Rather than reading from a pre-determined genre, we will have monthly nominations for themes, and choose one by poll.

You can participate in the theme challenge by reading any book related to the theme for that month. You may choose fiction or nonfiction, and read as many books as you like.

We haven't decided yet if we'll do a group read for this challenge, so feedback on that is welcome.

This sounds like a fun idea. I think the theme idea lends itself to a wide variety of books.

Maybe one of us mods could suggest some books from the theme, and maybe that way get some budy reads going?

Always looking for new ways to expand my reading. I sometimes get stuck.

That is a good idea, Jenny. That might encourage more discussion and make it easier to find books.

I like this idea as I usually choose my own book to go with the genre for the month. This would work just as well.
