Your Year in Books

One thing I discovered was that when I finished a library e-book and clicked finished at the end of the e-book, it only registered "Read" in Goodreads. It didn't record a date and it didn't count in the yearly book tally. If any of you have done this, you may want to check this. I discovered that this shorted my count by over 20 books.
I never use that feature for that very reason. I come back to the home page and update the progress.
An easy way to check is to go to My Books and select your "read" bookshelf. Skim the list to make certain you've got complete dates for each book.

Also If you have set yourself a goal in the Goodreads challenge it will let you know that you added books to your read list but that they are not dated and it will let you fix it. Go to your Good reads challenge and there will be a little box that says missing books and it will help you find books that you shelved in 2016.
