Crazy for Young Adult Books discussion

LOL It's my fault. When I read what I'd posted, it did sound like I was saying I wanted to read it but I was sick so I wasn't going to. I'm sorry about that.

Just glad we connected. I had to run out for a couple VERY last minute things I had planned on getting Thursday and being done with it and then I got sick, so I did it today. Not too bad. I went to Costco and Ulta so I'm finally done, for better or worse. LOL

I plan to start in just a little bit. Have you begun it? I sure hope it's good!

I didn't get a chance to start yet. My husband and I ended up going to my mom's today and baking cookies, and I just got home.

I didn't either. LOL I'll probably not start until Monday because tomorrow morning I pick up my grandkids at 9, go to one of my daughter's houses to exchange gifts and then to church at 11:30. Then we'll be going to one of my other daughter's (Heather on GR, if you know which one is my Heather) houses for food and exchanging gifts. I have a long day ahead of my tomorrow!

Maddie (view spoiler)[is really cute too. I like her and I think she's a really good friend to Scarlett. I'm glad she found this house sitting opportunity for Scarlett. (hide spoiler)]

Oscar (view spoiler)[isn't someone I would've trusted enough so quickly to go to his home! But he's pretty cool and he's really interested in Scarlett so I like him too. (hide spoiler)]

I have not started yet! I will try to start either tonight or tomorrow. My husband wouldn't let me bring my Kindle with me or any books while we visit my grandma. Now I have to just use my phone to read.

Scarlett's dad (view spoiler)[means well, but I think he needs to butt out of David's and her relationship. He doesn't really seem to care how she feels, so I'm not feeling the dad. (hide spoiler)]

The wedding (view spoiler)[was so fun to read about, even though I'm not a Star Wars fan so I don't know all of the character names. (hide spoiler)]

Rosie (view spoiler)[ I can't believe that she MIGHT be Scarlett's mother. That would be such a wonderful thing IF their meeting turns out to be a good thing. It doesn't always! But I hope the Rosie they talk about is her mother so she can at least meet her own mom. (hide spoiler)]

This book is kind of putting me to sleep, so I don't think I am going to like it very much.

I'm with you! I thought it was cute in the beginning but I'm not a movie fanatic like she is, so it gets a bit tedious after a while. And I don't want to read it during the read-a-thon since I can't count the points. LOL

Can you not count the points if you started it before the read-a-thon?

I'm using the word runner feature on my phones Kindle app so I can get through this one faster.

The weddings are kind of fun to read about, but they're a bit too far fetched to me for one's wedding day. LOL (hide spoiler)]

Rose (view spoiler)[had NO good excuse for leaving!! What mother doesn't want a break and what marriage doesn't suffer issues. I was angry with her mother's explanation of why she left, meaning to return, but didn't. I DO NOT LIKE WOMEN LIKE HER!! DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN!!! But when Scarlett opened all her birthday presents and the moment she first hugged her mom, that was a very sweet moment in time.

I am also glad that Scarlett knows she was conceived out of love. (hide spoiler)]

Sean (view spoiler)[went to so much to help Scarlett find her mother and help her dad out of his bind. Well, I guess he set them up for life actually! Obviously he's a good man and I'm glad she did the right thing by not marrying David. She belongs with Sean! But I do wish she'd gotten her message sooner so that David didn't have to suffer that humiliation that in real life it would have been. (hide spoiler)]

I didn't finish fast really. I just posted on my 20 chapters and then I had to go somewhere with my husband so I posted when I got back.

I'm sorry you didn't like it more than 1 star. :o( I liked it a bit better.
