The Thanator (Na'vi: Palulukan, Thanatora ferox, Thanator) is one of the largest and most dangerous land animals of Pandora.

Shape and way of life
The Thanator is, like most of the more highly developed animals of Pandora, a hexapod. The four front limbs are paired. The muscles are highly developed. The Thanator has a stretched, slender body, and a long tail, endowed with unseen information with poisonous glands. The head of the animal sits on a long, very strong neck. This is protected by a kind of collar of movable parts which is also used for deterrence.

The dentition of the thanator is strongly developed. With its highly developed senses, a Thanator prey can sense up to 13 kilometers wide depending on the atmospheric conditions. A Thanator breathes, like many other animals on Pandora, over bronchial-like organs in the chest.

Like many other Pandora creatures, the thanators also have long, head-mounted antennas through which Tsaheylu can be produced. However, this happens only in the extreme exceptional case.

The Thanator appears only to hunt and roam a territory of up to 300 square kilometers in size. He seems to hunt mainly at night, when he is hungry, however, also by day. Thanators roam the jungle, but can also climb well. They are at the top in the food pyramid. They have no natural enemies and the Na'vi are more likely to get out of their way.

It can work either way but not from a lottery system. In some cases spirit beasts may come to you or you can go find someone for you

There are untamed spirit beasts for now. Let's add different characters later. Is that okay with you?

But untamed spirit beasts? is it like pokemon where you like have to catch and tame them, then you get another spirit beast?

Ok, another question:

So spirit beasts, we have a limit of five, so for every spirit beast, I have to create a new character? Or can one person have multiple, so I can like distribute the five among as many characters, or just one per character?

You can use them as you like. And for the multiple beasts for one person, we will tell you after we decide the ranking system. (( sorry we are kinda slow ))

Just a question- for the spirit element, when they claim it, does it mean they control it (like, manipulate it), or that it is just the type of spirit energy they use to control their beasts?

They control it but they need help from a spirit beast. Think you choose fire element, then the power you borrowed from the spirit beast also is fire. Once you made the contract with your spirit beast it disappears in to the element seal on your body. It's more like it lives inside you

When you pick a spirit attribute (physical or mental), should we specify what that person is best at in that field? Or do they have one thing from that particular field, (Aka, strength, flight, mind-controlling, mind-reading, etc)

Same goes for the spirit element. Is it one particular element related thing or multiple?

I have a few more questions.

-Is lightening an acceptable thing to allow into the fire category? Or do we not want to include that?
-Would storms and weather and stuff be in wind or earth or do we want to not include that?
- To be a Spirit Duke and control 2 elements, do they have to have to have 2 Spirit Beasts?
- What is "Wave Control and Enhanced Vision???" They was in the options of what Mind Spirit Attributes we could have...
-Do I have to describe what the spirit beast looks like if I have a picture?

-What's the relationship between fire and lightning? I think for lightning, the wind category people could use it. ((maybe??!))

-Yes, you must have 2 spirit beasts.

-It is brain wave control, you can control brain waves around a person. Similar to mind control but it's different. You can attack someone's brain making him/her loose consciousness,memory loss but this method uses more spirit energy than other skills making the caster vulnerable after using the skill.
Enhanced vision is exactly as it is. You can see things you can't see for the naked eye. How you use it is all upto you to figure out :P

When I was asking about the lightening thing, I was kinda thinking about Avatar and how the Firebenders can redirect/channel lightening. In my opinion, it would make more sense to put it in wind, because of storms and stuff.


I have two more questions (sorry if i'm being annoying)... again, they are Avatar related...

-Would you be able to have control over metal if you were an earth person? Because metal is pretty much earth that has been purified and refined.

-Also, would water people have control over people/blood or something like that as its made of mostly water? Personally, I think that would be going too far, but I feel like we should figure out the extent of power before accidentally making a god.

((We should come up with names for people who choose certain elements cuz I don't want to call them lame things like "water people" or "earth people"))

Catherine, to my knowledge and understanding, a spirit beast is something that your character bonds with and it gives you your elemental power. I think right now, we are trying to make sure there are no repeat beasts, but that could change if tons of people join this group. And I think as long as your beast isn't a full human, then its ok for it to be your spirit beast.

Hm I never thought about controlling metal. Yp, I'm in with that idea but no blood control. It will be too troublesome to find blood bags for transfusion. lol

Hi, also I dont really get the concept of elements and mind/body attributes? So everyone has a mind/body power/powers? And they also have an elemental power (ex: fire elementalist can control fire etc.)?

Also, (sorry for the endless questions) are you allowed to have multiple spirit beasts if you are only a 1st yr?

But yes, every character has a spiritual (mind or body) and an elemental power (water, fire earth, ice, wind). So, yes, a fire elementalist would be able to control fire. And there are attributes in the announcements topic that shows what kind of things you'd be able to control with your choice of spiritual power.

Looking at my comment, I don't think that its gonna help much. Again, I apologize. Its 1:30am and this manga is driving me crazy.

If water element users could also control ice won't it be unfair to others because they get dual elementary powers. So maybe at Almighty level maybe they could do dual elementary because they are so powerful.....!?!?

Mind/Body powers - This is the spiritual energy within you. You are born with this powers.

Elementary powers - These are borrowed powers (where did I hear this word borrowed powers??? *shrug*) from spirit beasts by making a contract with them. If you don't have spiritual energy within you,you can't form a contract with a beast. Meaning you can't become a spirit controller.

I don't think a 12 year kid, who know nothing could be a spirit duke.

Peri dear, I have more questions (sorry, I just really want this group to work out well, and therefore, I need clarification) --

-Could a tattoo be a medium? Would we have to infuse it with magic or something? Or is that something we don't want to do.....

-Other than making a contract with 2 Spirit Beasts, what do characters have to do to be a Spirit Duke? Because if it was just 2 Spirit Beasts, they'd be a Marquess...

-Do we have names for the people in the clans yet? Or should we just call them ________benders or ________kinetics or something?

-Should we make a list of what the elemental powers could be in each clan thing? Because in the new character template it asks what strengths and weaknesses people have for their spirit attribute and element(s), and we already have a list for the spirit attributes, but not for the elements....
