Strike a better balance between quantity and quality - I want to get "everything" out of a book, so I take lots of notes and read slowly, but the result is there is much good content I never touch. Yet I don't want to sacrifice impact for mere volume. Thoughts/suggestions on achieving that balance?
Tim Keller once said that if you can get one good nugget of insight and wisdom from a book then it's worthwhile. That takes the pressure off trying to squeeze every drop out of a book. I also try and vary my types of books. If I know a book is dense, I try to follow it or precede it with a lighter more imaginative book.
