Been wanting to read these two forever and hopefully I will read Miss Peregrines before I get tempted to watch the movie lol

Well, that's really promising and good to know. I hope I really love everything I pick to read.

My two picks that I drew out are
, which can you believe is also our BOTM so double win for me. I also picked out
, which I've heard is amazing and I can't wait to dive right into it. This is so much fun!

Read my first book jar read for the year and it was the deviously delicious
...no wonder why it's voted one of the best books of the year.

Just finished my second book jar and it was breathtaking and extremely beautiful.
really hit home for me as words are a big thing in our home. My youngest is pre-verbal and only has approximations and uses key word sign language to express himself. That's part of having Autism for our little guy. Never thought a fantasy book would be so relatable lol

Amy is an amazing writer. So glad you loved this one!

I haven't read Making Faces *gasp* lol I know, I know! But I'm planning on working through a lot of her books. I have read Infinity + One but I remember only liking the book but still a good read.

I'll be sure to push Making Faces up my TBR list or adding it to my Jar once I've made a great dent in it.

Definitely try and read ACOMAF because it's really good, well I think so. And I'll keep you informed on Uprooted.

So far it's been a slow pace but not slow enough to not want to go back, if that makes sense! I noticed it's quite a few pages so there's a story to tell and starting off a little slow is sometimes a good thing.

I hate having to do that but there's just no time to waste when there are just so many books to read.

I know Sylvia. I'm not wasting time on mediocre books anymore either. I will give them a fair go but won't force myself.

I'm with you :D fair go but not forcing myself to love. I just culled 1700 books off of my TBR list lol and only reached page 36 out of 236 or something like that. I'm not even going to try and read any of those books that I dumped.

I know what you mean! A couple years ago I was just adding books like there's no tomorrow and had over 6,000+ books on my To-Read shelf, Now I'm trying to go through them and delete the ones i'm not interested in (there's some I would never read, and others I don't even remember!) Shame on Goodreads for making it so easy to add books, lol! :P

Shame on GR for sure lol it's so easy to get such a large TBR list and we are all suckered in that way. I'm definitely going to cut back so much more and be realistic and selective as to what I read.

I felt light already just cutting back 1700 books. I want to bring it down more but GR make it hard for you to delete large amounts cause you can only delete 1 book at a time ugh

I feel really light already and being extremely selective now with what I add. You should totally do it when you get the chance.

Yeah, I got rid of most of books I added in 2011-2014 but really seriously need to clear up the rest but I figured 2500 is better than over 5000, which I had at the beginning of the year.

A lot of my problem is I have so many free kindle books that are on my TBR. I need to just read them. Never know, I might find a diamond in there.
