Goodreads seems to think I wrote a Chicken Soup book.

I did not write a Chicken Soup book. If it could not show that I wrote that book, that would be great.

Also, since we're here, there is a duplicate version of my book listed that has my illustrator listed as the author. Is there a way to get rid of that?

That is not (yet) your profile but I presume you are going to claim it?

Moved the edition of your book there, and combined. Working on moving the other Chicken Soup editions to a new profile (there are a lot, this will take a while.)

This is the default profile, so all books written by anyone named Kyle Wilson will be imported to it. If you do claim it, just post here in this group should that happen, and they'll be moved, usually pretty quickly.

Thanks! I did try claiming that I am actually me. I sent my email and Facebook and Twitter and stuff, as well as notifying wherever that little box that asks all the questions goes that Chicken Soup, while delicious and insightful, was not my book. I have yet to hear back from the little box. I fear the worst.

Should I try resubmitting it? I don't want to appear overzealous or anything.

No, it may take several work days to approve, and remember it's the holiday weekend.

(I do think it would have been better to first request your book to be moved to a new profile and then claim that profile.)

Lethe: Because I didn't think of it until too late, and didn't realise when I started there were 13 editions of the Chicken Soup book.

Probably for the best anyway, if there was a claim already submitted, that would have ended up with Kyle claiming the Chicken Soup profile and not the right one :)

Real chicken soup, I don't think that's possible, I could pretty much live on that!

Those books though. I'll probably die of instant diabetes now just for looking at that many covers.
