After getting used to the very choppy sentences, I let go and really enjoyed this story. After a flu pandemic wiped out most of humanity, a man and his dog find refuge in a beast of a man named Bangley. It's a story about risking everything to see if something else exists out there, while remaining true to those you love.

Melissa I loved The Dog Stars as well. Took some getting used to at first but it's extremely memorable.

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) Prodigy (Legend, #2) by Marie Lu by Marie Lu. I've been wanting to finish this series because I really liked book 1. I had some issues with the pacing and some of the male hero character's actions during the first half of this but once it finally picked up speed it was amazing and I couldn't put it down. The way things ended in this one got me so excited for the final book! I love Marie Lu's writing and her characterizations and her jaw dropping plot twists.
