Wendy | 25 comments Picked up a copy of "Grimm's Fairy Tales" at Barnes and Noble a while back. Obviously, I've read and heard of a lot of them but I've never read the entire collection. Should be interesting to read them from the perspective of an adult since there are so many adult themes that run through these tales.

Margo (dandylines) Dancing Girls.
I am about one-third through the book. Each short story is fascinating with a blend of unique, troubled, women whose inner thoughts are revealed through the stories. Atwood at her best for sure.

Miniatures The Very Short Fiction of John Scalzi by John Scalzi
Miniatures - John Scalzi

This is a collection of VERY short stories by John Scalzi. Most are humorous. Great if you're looking for some light reading that can be done in short bursts.

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 231 comments I read Good Behavior by Blake Crouch. I like the TNT television show and decided to read the book sometime after the first season. The book includes three short stories / novellas originally published in magazines. After each, Mr. Crouch discusses how the story or parts of the story were written into the television series. Recommended read, whether or not you have seen the television show. The pictures and gifs didn't work on my paperwhite or my pc. They did work on my phone.

I also read Good Behavior for this category. I have not seen the TV show, but I would love to read more stories centered around this character.

I think I like her TV character better, but that may be because I had watched two seasons before reading the book.

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) For this one I picked The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare . I LOVE Magnus character and we get to see his flashy self and his human side, as well as a lot of amazing tie-ins with the other Shadowhunter series, like The Last Hours and even TMI. My favorite chronicle had to be What to Buy a Shadowhunter Who Has Everything and The Midnight Heir. Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale was also good and bittersweet.
