Since the moderators are changing to only one book of the month, the second highest book (by vote total) will become a Group Buddy Read. Questions will be posted mid-month and discussion will be very informal.

It's posted Paula. My husband is being discharged from the hospital tomorrow morning, so I have been running like mad to get everything ready for him to come home. Enjoy the buddy read. I'll be starting it in the next couple of days.
Hi everyone! I am new to this group! Could you catch me up on what we are doing!? I'd love to be apart of group read-a-longs, chats, buddy reads, and discussions on the books you all are reading! If you would, please tell me what we are discussing! Thanks!
Hannah this month as a Group Buddy Read we are reading
by Karen Witemeyer. If you will look under this same heading you will see the discussion thread for it. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
On the homepage of CFD, you will find what books we are reading for both this month and next month.
Yes - they have been having problems lately. All the dates on books you have read disappeared. They are now back.
I think the May 2019 Group Buddy Read is A Rebel Heart. Is this where we'll come to discuss the book?
Loraine wrote: "Sharon - there will be a group buddy read page just for the book. Look for it under this thread."Thank you, Lorraine. I'm still learning my way around the CFD Discussions.
Johanna the group buddy read is the runner up in our vote for book of the month. It goes from the beginning of the month to the end. A special thread for each month's book is posted under the Group Buddy Read topic. For the first two weeks people usually pop in and let everyone know that they will be reading the book. The last two weeks are a time for discussion. Sometimes questions will be posted for discussion. Other times it is just a freewheeling discussion. It is less formal than the book of the month read. Hope this help. Please feel free to ask questions anytime you have one. Either one of the moderators will answer, or someone who has been here for a while will jump in and be glad to reply.
When I purchased this book,
, this months buddy read; I wasn't aware this will be a series. The next book in the series is due to be published June 2019. https://www.goodreads.com/series/2230...I am half way through A Rebel Heart and find it to be a great read.

Ok. Thanks
So I'm new to all of this... but can anyone tell me how the Group Read is different from the Buddy Read?
The Group Read is more relaxed and doesn't always have questions posted mid-month, whereas the Buddy Read usually has discussion questions posted mid-month.

We all read at our own pace. We ask that spoilers be hidden beneath a spoiler tag (see "some html is ok" above the comment box in the desktop mode of the site for details on how to do that) before the 15th of the month. After that, anything about the book may be discussed.

How does one post a spoiler tag, do you mean hide some posts and comments or "SPoiler alert" before posting?
To hide spoilers, use the following html code (without the extra space):
< spoiler> put your spoiler text here < /spoiler>
Without the spaces, it will look like this:
(view spoiler)
Want to try it in a comment here for practice?

Karin wrote: "Do you know when the thread for the December buddy read will be up?"I was wondering about this, too, since I've read it.
I personally take them down a few days after the month is over since a new one is posted if I was the leader for the Group Buddy Read that month. You would have to ask Beth as she and I do the Book of the Month and Group Buddy Read for the month. We decide between us who will lead which read.
