As always I start with a 52 book goal with about a 50/50 split between reading ( either hardcopy books or ebooks) and audio.
My original plan had been to focus on female authors but I when i did the numbers from last year I found that over 75% of the books I read were female authors. so I am looking into a few challenges ( at least for part since I like to mix up the genre I read ) - usually I just check out the ol library and just find one that interests me. but i need to be pushed out of my comfort zone a bit..

I like what if senarios or dramas set in the future- I am not one for stories that revolve around battles and the concept that we will always be at war- perhaps I am being naive but I don't want to read about such a future.

thanks for the rec ; graphic stories arent usually what I go for several reasons ( they tend to be shorter therfore not as much meat to them, they do not engage my imagination as well....) but I may look into them. Thanks again

The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett not sure if it was the narrator but i could not listen to this child any longer. I Actually got through more than half of it but something became avail from my hold list so i could not justify continuing- Life is too short to waste on stories you are not enjoying.

yes- really make a point to try to finish but I have gotten to the point that life is too short and there are too many books to waste my time in something that is turning my stomach

Carol (carolvv) | 325 comments well I finish 3 booked on the 1st and 2nd of Jan.... they will be a start on next years numbers
so according to my # I read over 9000 pages and listened to almost 450 hr of audio book. This was the first year I had more audio on my read list than ebook/books. Infact I only had one hardcopy book on the list. All the books this year were from this century.
